    Sportsmanship at State Cup

There have been stories about three incidents at State Cup that seem uniformly over the top. Assuming that they are true -

What does it mean for a parent to be ejected? Do they get to come back next year or does it become a club discipline issue?

What happens to a coach who is ejected? Does this carryover into next state cup? If the coach was on the phone with the assistant (and this is an if) isn't this tantamount to refusing to leave when ejected and does it bring on an additional penalty?

It sounds like the Puma/Blast BU15 game could have ended in a brawl, but did not. What was done to get it under control by the game officials or Mass Youth soccer? Did state cup representatives patrol the sidelines as they did up in Maine last year?

Will we get to see any of these incidents on You Tube?

You want the behavior to stop? State officials should carry video cameras, and post the incidents on You Tube. There is nothing like public shame to cause people to modify their behavior.

5This is more of a relegation sportsmanship thing, but I wanted to give credit to the FC Napoli coach of the current U17 team. Saw them play vs. Bolts for relegation last night. Half way through the second half the lightning came, Bolts were up 2-0 with about 20-25 minutes left. All the other teams playing at Lancaster went up to their cars and waited the 30 minutes to restart play. FC Napoli coach approached the Bolts sideline and said "you guys got it, doesn't seem we're coming back in this one" and conceded the match. They had lost to Crusaders 0-2 on Sunday so it looked bleak for them to get the D1 spot.

In the parking lot he approached the Bolts coach to wish them luck tonight vs. Crusaders. We see and hear so much bashing - this guy is a class act and deserves some credit.
