wondering what some of your thoughts were for how some of the games will be played out on saturday and sunday, all age groups both boys and girls

Boys U13 - Eastern Mass have really raised the bar with a recent player acquisition, they are a very good team, will beat Bulldogs, they'll win by two, but maybe only one depending on when first goal is scored. FC United is a huge shock to be here given what happened last year. Bolts will roll over all opponents and cruise to state championship. Win by 2 or 3 in final.

Girls U13 - Scorpions will avenge loss to Eagles and win. Stars and Eagles will both come to play in their semifinal matches and win by multiple goals. Scorpions too deep.

Boys U14 - Bolts over Expos in rematch again. Bolts are too deep and Expos too dependent on strong ball. Neither opponent in other group is strong enough to match up here.

Girls U14 - Scorpions upset victory over Stars in semifinal. Game will be close of course. Scorps special player will do something special up front to score the winner. Revenge for last year. Overall Stars is a better team, but they are also already going to Regionals. Other side of bracket doesn't matter, but Blackhawks will win with their fast frontrunners, only by a goal, but they play frustratingly ugly. Scorps win lopsided final.

Boys U15 - Blast is the best team again, which is a surprise because I thought Bolts were. Blast is just too strong this season. Western United had a great first weekend, but luck will run out.

Girls U15 - no surprises or analysis needed. Stars United beat Scorpions Elite in final after both teams cruise in semifinal. Stars beat Scorpions in final in a game that won't match last year's drama. I'm gonna go for 3-1 Stars, maybe 4-1, they just don't need to beat Scorpions by more than that.

Boys U16 - Tough group to call, but I'm going to bet on one group being stronger than the other, and both Eagles and Inter advance. Eagles win in the final. All games will be one goal, but Eagles and Inter will control semifinals.

Girls U16 - Stars and Crusaders in final, Stars by two or more v MPS, same for Crusaders over Pioneers. Stars have too much for Crusaders, but could need overtime.

Boys U17 - Inter and Blazers will roll in semifinal. Blazers will win final by a pair.

Girls U17 - Stars by three or more in final and semifinal, just too good. My bet is Aztecs over MPS in semifinal. The teams are close. Aztecs by a goal, winning goal will either come early in a 1-0 effort, or late in a 2-1 effort.

Boys U18 - Not much to see here, Juventus rolls. I'll bet Aztecs, but Aztecs MPS will be a close match. Juventus and whoever wins that game will be Juve by 3 or more.

Girls U18 - Bolts were counted out early, but will win again. CRU and Scorps is a toss up. CRU improved this year and are more consistent, but Scorps have best player and many talented players. My gut says Scorps, but head says CRU. Will be tough and hard fought. Either CRU by 3 or 4, or Scorps by 1. CRU is the better organized and the more ready team, if they score early, they will score often. Scorps has to hang around to win. If they do, the pure talent will win out. Bolts are the best team and will beat either one of them.

Wow .. are you just an angry person or what? Ask the parents from Nova and Puma if MPS just squeeked by them. Even the pioneer parents will tell you that MPS is no push over. The Stars / MPS game will not be a one sided game.

Without a doubt, Stars pure talent is up front. They have tons of speed, control and athletic power. Scorpions have the better midfield/defense, but will have their hands full with these strikers.
It will take more than one "special" player to beat Stars. Scorps only chance to win is if their D is flawless, as Stars strikers take any opportunity given uup front.

U14 girls to be won by scorps easily. Defence is too strong for stars forwards. Stars have already peaked winning against So Cal, every dog has its day!
Scorps win 2-0.

Got to love the prediction that Stars and Scorpions will be the finalists in GU13. They play each other in the Semi-finals so ONLY ONE OF THEM can actually play in the final! Neither U13 or U14 girls final can be reached by both the Stars and Scorpions as in both cases they are matched up against each other in the semis.

Sorry to interrupt the cat fight. Can you give us more info on who the player that Eastern Mass have acquired? Is it a player who can make an immediate impact, or is it more with an eye to the future.
