This is why laws are created. Society finally draws the line in the sand after coming to a collective agreement that some previously tolerated behavior won't be tolerated any more. Laws like this (Civil Rights Act is a perfect example) always proceed the changes in social behavior that the laws were created to enforce. We've done it before (goodbye Jim Crow laws, public hangings, child labor, debtors prison, etc.) and we'll do it again. And when we do, the lovers of the status quo will put up a fuss. And then they'll get old and die and take their outdated morals with them. Same as it ever was.
