I don't think that the EMSCA (girls) has ever released a single comprehensive list of their all-star (or All-State) selections. You need to get the information in pieces, or attend the all-star game, get a copy there, and then post the info. I do believe that someone did this a couple of years ago, but not last year. The all-new england and all-american selections will be released by the NSCAA. It is pretty difficult to get the all-state team because there is no "official" mechanism for release. The best "sources" are from what you have seen, local press releases or as bio info from other newspaper all-scholastic teams. There is nothing that would prohibit the girls list from being released, but I'm not sure that the powers in the girls EMSCA have any desire or reason to use this site as the venue for that information.Comment

That would make sense, as the player of the year is usually either all-american or at least all-new england. There are a limited number of all-americans from each state. Mewis is probablly also an A-A, as is probably SM from BB&N, along with maybe one from Central and/or Western Mass. There is a pyramid. You need to be a first team all -section (East, Central or West) to be all-state. You must be all-state to be all-region (NE) and then you typically find 3-5 Massachusetts Girls as All-American selections. Barry, Brock, Mewis and Persson were the Mass. selections last year. NEPSAC kids are selected to the all-region team, but not the all-state team.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

I had no idea what this even was until my daughter got a letter stating she made the EMass team. And it wasn't until we went to the awards ceremony that we found out she was also awarded All-State. Her coach was there and even she didn't have a clue.
I don't know how all this works. But it seems it's not very public. Just word of mouth, at least for the girls.Comment
