Unjust? please.... The girls broke the rules. If you don't like the rules, then do what you have to do to change them, but don't call this unjust.
So how far back did you have to go to find that post and try to restart a discussion that has FINALLY gone dead?

I would suggest you try another topic, this one has plenty of relevance to High School sports today.

I can't see this thread going dead for awhile, not with the Needham parents keeping this alive with the school board meeting.

Maybe if you actually read this thread you would not make such a stupid post. I went back exactly 5 POSTS, yes, 5 posts, to 'find' that post. As a poster siad after your, this will not die until the Needham parents come to their senses. As long as they keep pushing this up the school board chain, this discussion will continue. Are you suggesting that we stop this discussion because hazing is no longer an issue and has no relevance anymore?

Don't worry just when you think it's dead, some Needham parent will say or do something stupid to get it started, again!

So what has happened to these girls? School suspension, but has anyone lost a college team offer?

If they stay in Massachusetts, they could successfully run for 'public' office like US Senator, US Representative, Town Mayor......and then Governor. All of these have done far more to become noticed than what these girls did....and for that we continue to re-elect them.

Go look at the 'More Hazing' thread that was just started. If this topic was dead, why does hazing continue? Please, crawl out from under your rock and take a look around.

Thanks, but no thanks. Not really interested in reading more of your drivel, as I'm pretty sure the 2 posts there are both your own.

Yes, you are right....I guess I wrote the drivel in the article posted on the Boston.com homepage:

I think someone in this forum must have been on the receiving end of some hazing at one time.

And there are some that weren't 'hazed' enough.
I don't condone hazing at all, however, the direction that this society is going in is going to make us a weaker group of dribblers and apologetics. We should take more from the animal world where dominance is an important part of society and battles or all kinds are necessary.

Now if this doesn't keep this thread going for another week, I don't know what will....

The incident in a different time and place is nothing and in fact by itself was probably nothing and no one was really impacted. That is until they got caught. The coach should have educated his players, he really is the one person that could have prevented it. I don't think you will see coaches ignoring this topic again in the near future. The parents in Needham really are nuts, a rule was broken and a punishment dealt deal with it! I haven't heard anyone say that nothing happened just arguements on the punishment versus the level "hazing". Very weak and lame arguement.
