to post709... may I speak as eloquent as you...That is what I was trying to post last week when I was trying to say my son gave up d1 schools (patriot league) for a top d3...which by the way is Williams...see you on the soccer fields next year.....As for the mean spirited posts after..lets look at where the revs players are going...I'm not impressed...

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThank you friend, whoever you are. I am the Dad and this is my first and last posting to this blog. I swore that I would not be drawn in, but I cannot help myself. The misinformation and assumptions by posters unfamiliar with many players' situations that I am familiar with throughout this blog are incredible and I am writing this to caution new reader's to put these (this) poster's comments in perspective. I will only speak to my son's situation. To make a public statement that a kid was not recruited when you have no knowledge of the situation is absurd. Let me guess you were at the Williams camp when interest was expressed, you were also at the 7 to 10 school and club games that Coach Russo and/or his assistant attended. You also were a party to the conversations between his Andover Coach and Coach Russo. You were also on the numerous phone conversations between my son and Coach Russo and finally you were there when we as a family met with Coach Russo and my son verbally committed to apply to Williams early decision and he then had to make the awkward call to other interested coaches that he was not going to apply to their school. We are very proud of our son and his decision. We were thrilled with his choice to attend Williams from an academic standpoint and feel lucky that he will have the chance to be coached by Coach Russo. I hope this helps to put all of your comments in perspective and I wish you had the nerve to tell all of the posters who you have made assumptions and comments about who you are, so we can understand the bitterness and ax that you have to grind.

2) They haven't played together since they were 14
3) Packwood decided he would commit himself year round and eat and breathe soccer and also had better connections through his father
4) How low do you have to be to trash-talk a parent's son on an anonymous forum and make personal attacks?

Finally, congratulations to Tim; well earned and a terrific opportunity!
