Last place team in BSC takes out Attleboro.

Framingham ready to make a surprise run?
    Any scores from today?

couple good matchups tomorrow in d1 north

        ls brookline

look for ls to win bc of physical play and star striker. brooklines been heating up but ls is almost impossible to beat when theyre on their game. predicting 2-1 win for ls but will be very tough matchup.

        lexington framingham

classic matchup, 4th year in row these teams have met in playoffs. last year was turning point for lexington and look for them to win this one again. framingham relies too much on offensive power of 1 player. wont be able to break lexington d. lexington wins 2-0.

        other matups:

        ab newton north

ab wins 2-1 in close game. ab's just too strong.

        somerville medford

somerville's coming on strong and will win this one. 2-1 somerville. setting up another meetup between ls and somerville in the semis.
ab takes it 3-1. not too much to say

JS for Framingham is a beast. Wonder if he can be stopped by the Minutemen.

Small man from a small town. Let's hope that what goes around comes around.

According to the Holbrook article, the Nantucket Athletic Director was none too pleased and told as much to his coach. D-S hopes to give them the business if the weather breaks long enough for the boats to run. Our game on Nantucket is unlikely to be played again today. Crazy.

How is it that Arlington gets a home game (seed #20) vs. Winchester (seed #1) for the D2 North semis? Semis are supposed to be in a neutral location? Seems unfair to the Winchester team

I think, but may be wrong, that schools offer up their facility. Just as with the Super Bowl, sometimes you end up with a home game. If I'm correct, then the schools who offer up thie field, should host a game not in the division they play in.

That's beyond ridiculous. How do the Nantucket winter sports teams play anybody?

Good for D-S! 1-0 over Nantucket at Nantucket. I thought you played the best soccer in the TVL this year, and I hope you can win it all.

Went to see the Danvers and Belmont girls play yesterday in the Manning Bowl. Got there early and saw an absolutely terrific game between the Brookline and Newton North boys. Don't get me wrong, I love girls soccer, but what a refreshing change to see the boys play, with their skill, strength, and speed!

The dyed-blond Brookline boys carried the action, in my opinion, but the Tigers hung tough and won in a shootout. Lots of good team ball, and lots of noise and high spirits (no pun intended) in the stands. The bowl was rocking in the end! And what class two Brookline kids showed by comforting the first player unlucky enough to miss a penalty shot!

After the tense Belmont-Danvers game -- another shootout -- I was sorry I couldn't stay to watch the Westford-Central Catholic and Winchester-Concord Carlisle games, both won in overtime by identical 2-1 scores. What a great day for Mass soccer.

New Bedford, Concord-Carlisle, and Dover-Sherborn advance to the finals... what are the odds of EMASS going 3/3?

The final 15 minutes of the D/S - Rockport game were incredible. I came to watch the Weston girls but came away very impressed with the level of play in the boys game. Both teams fought hard all the way to the final whistle and left nothing on the field. Great game!
