    Transferred

My kid transferred from a D-2 (academic/financial need/athletic$ for full) to D-3. Only issue was the coach refused to sign the waiver (one of the top kids on the team), so my kid had to go above his head to the asst. athletic director after a month. Meanwhile, the coach at the D-3 school heard through the grapevine to expect the transfer & was chomping at the bit, but couldn't talk until the waiver was received.

The original coach did not allow player to practice or work out with the team in the spring...but my kid has always been very strict about keeping fitness level up and had no problem with staying in shape.

      Okay good info thank you.

I think if you get athletic $$$ the issuing institution can/might object if you transfer within conference. Seems like sour grapes though as you are leaving the conference.

Anyway, I assume that with no athletic $$$ the institution will not object to granting a release. True/false?
