First of all we are talking about next years tryouts for under 12's and I agree if your going to make a move, and want to be on an ECNL club.. Then Scorp's have an edge.

Why take a chance on moving over at an older age when itis possible that they will have NO ROOM to add players at 14 and 15

NEP will not be a big draw NEW league, like a NEW Restaurant, need to get the bugs out..

all the NEP people contradict themselves.. This a development league they say, WINS not required to stay in the game. Your developing players..

Being on the sidelines will be FUN next fall, gonna watch and UTUBE some of the parents at NEP games... getting blown out, or showing up and the other team is at PDA or Jeff Cup... so you get a bye... or rain out, no need to reschedule... or you get to play BB team and you are the bolts..

A) The top players in the SS will find their way to NEFC a few at a time. Some will come this year and others will follow at U13 and U14.

B) Nobody from Stingrays, Crusaders, Select, etc will drive to Braintree to play for Scorpions when they can drive to the same place and play for NEFC

I'm glad someone said it.. Is this the same post which indicated that "rumor is" BB has been talking to 2-3 SSS players etc.? Well, that's distrurbing if it is true. I am not naieve but is this really a rumor? Where did it come from?

And then there was silence..........

Not the same poster, but I think the point may be that, yes, there is almost always room for an elite player at U15 and even U16, but the vast majority of players bring less than that to the table, i.e., they are the solid role players.

If, when you hit U12 or U13, you think it's more likely that you have a role player than an elite "difference maker," (and make no mistake, this is case with the vast majority of players in any club environment) then it might make sense to to you to position your player with an ECNL club early -- provided you also subscribe to the notion that ECNL is the best available environment for player development, college recruiting, etc. That way you're not on the outside looking in at U15 when the risk is that your player's club may devolve/implode/fade away into insignificance (see recent discussion in U13 Power Rankings and Predictions thread...)

That's what I think this discussion is getting at. Probably time now to return to U11G talk!

BTW, your club does more recruiting than any other in the state, and your club started after FM joined another organization and "stole" all of it's players. Know your history.

I also heard that BB has all but scooped at least 2 of the SSS E players and maybe a third. Scorpions are also hopeful of getting another SSS E player. Small word. Believe me.
