They would rather go to 4th and 5th division of U12 divisions and win games.

It's an embarrassment that these coaches hide and try to win games against glorified town teams in U12 orange and purple divisions. They were afraid to play each other in U11 Blue and potentially lose games. Want to keep parents happy and paying by keeping up those winning seasons. Just easier to hide and beat weaker U12 teams. Surprised by BB because they have a very good team that would probably beat all U11 blue teams.

What makes this comical is that BB lost today and SSS tied in the orange and purple division. Great job by your clubs in developing the girls. I guess SSS might not be able to boast on their website that they won U12 purple(5th division) after all. Should have played in yellow to guarantee some wins.
Trying to catch up with the goings on within this thread. My goodness you are an angry person. You really think they are "hiding".

I can't speak for the motivation of SSS, and again (full disclosure), my child plays for NEFC, but hiding? Honestly?

NEFC has already played Stars, Scorpions, Western United, and SS Select Elite this year. All 4 teams are good and all 4 teams have good players, but NEFC won all 4 games and allowed 1 total goal in those games while scoring 21. Why would the team hide?

Listen, anyone can lose on any given day, especially at this age, but to assume you know what the motivation of either team's coach is, well that's just silly.

Just curious but when did NEFC BB play SSS elite this year? They are not in the same division this spring or last fall.

They played in a tournament before the season started.

NEFC missed a PK, hit the post 3 times, and had the keeper stop 3-4 point blank opportunities in the first half of that game. The possession was about 90/10 at best!

The Scorpions only goal and only shot came after an NEFC defender underhit a passback to her own keeper.

If you really watch "more than the score" as you claim, you should at least be honest about the games you watch. The gap between the top NEFC/Stars teams and everyone else is enormous. Like it or not, those 2 teams are well ahead of the pack.
I think Scorpions team has improved greatly as the year went on, and not so impressed with the NEFC group, started like gang busters, but basically were flat against NH classics, then tied SSSS.. Teams that scorpions will beat...

Top NEFC team is BB team not playing in U11...
Stars JD team I have ahead of Scorpions KD team...

but NEFC NB team is a couple of notches below in my book.

Good luck lets let the ball do the work on the pitch and we can talk about it on Monday.

          Scorpions 3 - 1 Nefc

Just one opinion, you are welcome to a different opinion.

Both teams have some ability, but the NEFC team will have a hard time without their coach this weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if the Scorpions win on Sunday. Truthfully there's not a huge difference between the 2 teams, but not having their real coach will hurt the NEFC team enough that I think they'll lose this one.

Scorpions have the advantage of playing both NEFC NB and Stars at home. Their home field is atrocious, so it will be tough for Stars who actually try to pass the ball.

At the end of the day, NEFC BB and Stars JD are still miles ahead of the rest of the pack.

                  Postponed 10:15 AM Forges 2B 887 G11-B Crusaders G - NEFC N

If they played the game it was not sanctioned by MAPLE..
or it would have a reschedule date on website. Are you involved with either team.

I am not personally involved with either team, but I am friendly with a Crusaders parent who attended the game. It was played and Maple provided referees. It was 2-2.

I would guess the Maple website does not reflect the new game info because KI is out of the office all week and did not update the site. If Maple sent refs, the game was sanctioned.

Personally I don't care, but I dont' think the parent would just make this all up.

Agreed NEFC will struggle without coach, and on Scorpions little chopped up field.

Agreed NEFC BB and STARS JD teams top two teams in state.

Scorpions teams passes the ball too, but agreed the lack of space will require a tighter passing attack. I think JD team wins that game but it will be close.

Remember Scorpions played NEFC BB team in fall and score was 3-1, and they have improved...

No offense, but anyone who watched the 3-1 game and has any objectivity whatsoever knows that the game was nowhere near that close. The shot totals were about 20-1.

I am sure the Scorpions have improved, but I don't think it's a stretch to say NEFC has improved also.

No problem, just asking, if it was played then it shows NEFC team is slipping, and will finish near middle...

I predict they will go 500 the rest of the way.

                          Still has to play
                          Stars JD, (Lose)
                          Stars GC (Win)
                          Scorps, (Lose)
Pasa (Win) unless Pasa wake up as it is the last week.

NEFC NB team record will look something like 3-2-2

None of those predictions would surprise me. Teams go through ups and downs and they could very well be in a down period. 3-2-2 wouldn't shock be, but I guess I wouldn't be stunned if they won all of their remaining games either. I don't think it's likely, but they do have enough ability to do it.

The good news for NEFC is they have 2 of the top teams in the state in this age group and when they eventually combine all of the best players from the 2 teams they've create an even larger gap between their top team and the rest of the pack. I don't expect that to happen for a few years, but it will be interesting.

NEFC NB team requires them to win 50-50 balls over and over.... They may have gotten better hitting the ball down field, and chasing it... They already did that real well

On a smaller field where they have to beat players 1v1, or chance hitting it and it going out of bounds they will lose possession over and over. Scorps keeper did not make 20 saves, they do not actually count a shot as a shot unless it is on frame of goal... having 20 shots they went over and wide is more like it..

Good luck Sunday wish I could be there to watch the battle of two very good teams.
                              Let us know what happens.

If they get to keep all those players, yes the pool will be deep, although spread out to far for the younger age groups.. The old Scorps team (BB team) are from South Shore, not that close to the Middlesex county group NB has. Teams have potential to combine at U12 as they go 11v11 add top 5 players from NB team to BB team if they lived nearby this would work, But BB has already started grooming his U12's group of 11 v11 players and will most likely overlook anyone playing for NB
