I agree Western should be in Blue. A very good team and good coach.

In my eyes the top 5 teams at U11 in order. Feel free to comment on your top 5.

    Stars D
    NEFC NB
    Western
    PASA
    Stars C

Both NEFC B and SSS are playing up U12 this Spring.

    Although should they be?

NEFC B did not win a game this past weekend playing U12 and SSS select did not make the finals at U11. Maybe they should both play age appropriate.

Looks like BB has lost his touch! None of his teams won a thing this weekend.

11s got beat easy.12s and 14s both lost to Stars in the finals.

Possibly. Too early to tell at this stage of the season. Poor start though.

I know. What happened to them?

I watched the SSS v NB Kickers, and was very impressed by both teams. The movement and passing was awesome at this age.

Not that hard to imagine... they got swallowed up by the full field / 11v11.

It will no doubt take some time to adjust to both the larger space and greater numbers.

I would agree that Western United is a good team. This age is very funny sometimes. Teams can be hot and cold all in the same day. My rankings including NEFC BB and SSS is as follows.

NEFC BB - Still the team to beat at U11 but thinks they are too good for U11.
Stars - Close second and will improve more playing U11
Scorpions - Could flip flob with NEFC NB
NEFC NB - Could flip flob with Scorpions
SSS - Also think they are to good for U11.
Western United - Wish they were in Blue Division
                PASA
                NH Classics

NEFC BB played on the second page and did ok. The game I saw was that they just could not handle the large field yet.

                  Week 1 Predictions

                  PASA vs Stars C (3-1)
                  Scorpions vs Star (1-2)
Crusaders vs SSS (3-2) SSS only chance to win but falls short.
NEFC N vs NH Classics (3-1)

Good luck to all teams this weekend.

I sincerely hope that the "adjustment" is not to switch to the kick and run game we often see when U11 plays on the big field. It would be a shame to see all the great passing and dribbling they have worked so hard on, get tossed under the bus in order to be more competative.

Scorpions win 3-1 over stars. Scorpions home field is atrocious but they are used to it at least add that to the occasional mystifying home field officiating and I smell an upset if only mildly at that

                      Pasa and Stars postponed

Classics are no pushover and nefc will learn that this weekend. I'm picking classics 3-2

SSS which may be as previously stated their best chance for a win will prevail. This could be the best u10 team around and their recent stats prove that out. I like crusaders size but they are just not as talented even with the age difference. SSS wins 3-0

What's up with Scorpions field?? While I have no issue with the club, it is a complete embarrassment to showcase young talent on a dirt pit. Scorps are not bad, but lack a decent striker. In saying that, Stars to beat them 3-1. Too technical and move the ball at speed.

NEFC NB to beat Classics 3-1 also
                        Crusaders to beat SSS 2-1

                        Good luck to all involved.

I think the Blue is between Stars D and NEFC NB. Can't see much past these. Whoever wins in this game will finish top.

That is exactly what occurs when players are forced to play outside of their physical ability. Think of a basketball shot from well outside their range; it loses all semblance of technical form and devolves into a push. These coaches are choosing to ignore the wisdom of their peers who have attempted to move the ages to appropriate sizes and even more amazing, their clubs have entered teams into NEP which is a 8v8 program through u12. I cannot possibly see what the agendas are.

I think the larger field is better for some u11's, but not all. I have watched a lot of u11 games (teams that are considered elite/premier). for the girls who get the whole passing thing and holding positions, the larger field seems to work well. when these same girls are forced to play on the smaller field the game gets too physical and they look like they're being held back. not sure how the SSS Elite & NEFC teams will end up in their u12 divisions, but both teams do have talent. from what i hear SSS E doesn't have more than 1 or 2 subs so that may hurt them, but they have some fast girls who can probably handle running the lenght of the field and then some. time will tell, but in just a few short months they'll have no choice, so it's good practice at the least.

In a few short months, NEFC will be playing U12 NEP, which is 8v8. SSS will, ultimately, play 11v11, so the step up now will do them no harm. Not sure what impact it will have on NEFC BB, but time will tell.
