Didn't lose in the U11 division either this Fall and only tie against u10 scorpions (ever played on that field?). All with about half of the team being u9! It will be tough for them to compete against such great u11 teams this spring but give credit where credit is due.
Minor correction, SSS U10's didn't win CFC, which they played up at U11. They were and are a tough team and based on what I have seen, while they won't back down from a challenge, they will have a hard time winning very many games against the best true U11s this spring in Blue.

They did win the U10 division at CFC. The U10 champion received the wildcard in the U11 playoff where they lost in the final 3-1 to Scorpions U11 Elite. Not a bad result against a very good Scorpion team for a bunch of 8 and 9 year olds. They've got to be one of the strongest, if not the strongest u10 team in the state, right? They should definitely not expect to win many games in the Spring, if any at all.

While I am an NEFC parents, I have to say the talent of the U11 group was very strong. All games were seriously competitive, and most could have gone either way. Congrats to NEFC Kickers on a great win!!! Reading some of the prior comments, not many gave the team a chance to even make the playoffs. I guess some people on here really don't know what they're talking about. Oh well!!

The blue this spring isn't the best of the best. NEFC B, SSS E U11 wont be there! Western , North Shore and Fuller are in Green. I think the SSS U10 team goes 500 in Blue this season. The best teams arent all there but they will have a ton of trouble with the top 3 or 4.

Yes Congrats NEFC kickers! Good tournament all around! Refs were suspect as usual but very good in the final!

Why? Because they called in your favor and you won this game? Geesh! U11 parents!

Explain what you mean by "called in your favor and you won this game"? Geesh you TS poster!

What I mean is that when they lose, the game is poorly called and when they win the game is finally called well. Do you think there might be a little bit of a bias on the part of a U11 parent that thinks that way?

Of course there is bias when we're dealing with refs (not just U11) and outcomes of games, but there's an implication when your referring to a parent calling in a favor, right?

Nope nice try! I am a Western parent. We had the same ref for both our semi-final and final match. The guy did a good enough job for me to mention it. The other games the refs were aweful for both sides!

I was at the tournament, and the biggest complaint/observation I had was how out of position some of the refs were. Also, in their defense, they had no linesmen to call the game, but watching a couple of U10 games, a few goals were scored on shocking offside positions. One goal, the girl was almost on the goal line, with no other defender near her. That's frustrating for a parent, coach and players. Overall, I don't think the refs influenced the outcome of the game, but obviously parents feel enough to post on here.

                            NEFC Kickers

No one gave the U11 Kickers a chance to get out of the group! Guess they were wrong there. They won pretty easy and played some very good teams along the way. Be interesting to see how they do this Spring.

I think Stars D or NEFC NB will win the blue division. It will be a tough division this year with some very good teams.

No disrespect to the other teams, but I'd love to see Western in the Blue. They are well coached and reached the NEFC finals. They were in a very tough division last season (NEFC NB and Stars JD). Looking forward to a great season. Best of luck to all teams.
