Was it difficult to talk with the coach regarding his team and club after the game? Is that when YOU determined that he could barely speak English.

    You are a fraud.
Not a fraud, telling you how I saw it.
Heard a conversation with the coach and he is very difficult to understand. Are you going to tell me he isn't? Not sure what nationality he is and doesn't matter but even his coaching ability isn't great. He was right next to me at oakwood talking to another guy about when he played back in the day. Too bad, they are an ok team but not the class of top teams in my opinion and they won't get better if they are not in NEP. I agree with another post about them not having a curriculum and coaches are probably not at the top level for NEP. Explain to me why they aren't in NEP then? Oh, yeah they want to stay in Maple right!! Come on, obviously your a parent and defending your team but all NEFC teams are in NEP and will at least play best teams.

Girl in the back is a U12 player and like 5'8" tall and a good player. They have one outstanding U11 player ---, other than that they have 2-3 other OK players but not much else there. Looks like they may have picked up a new girl or two but nothing great, just fillingthe roster for 11v11!! I know a parent on that team that has told me about the issues and he is thinking of leaving now that they know club will probably not get into NEP. They are a glorified town organization.

Coaching is bad, coach can barely speak english and communication is bad. Teaching is bad, watched a game and he had his girls stretching the field to the point that the forward was next to the opposing goalie. It was embarrassing, no teaching of passing and moving and creating the triangles. Kick and run and win win win!!! I guess he is an old school guy that played semi-pro 40 years ago and his training is bad.

Now I know why, they won't get accepted to NEP. Only 2-3 good teams in the whole club. SSS E parents should leave now because your competition will be watered down town teams in Maple. It's too bad because they do have a couple of pretty good girls. They do like to win and that they will do in Maple but gilrs progess will be diminished.
A new low for TS. Your team (NEFC Kickers) had delightful parents. We chatted with your coach and he was very complimentary of our kiddos. Classy guy and a fine club. You can criticize all you want but I am quite sure that your comments and "expert" analysis of the coach and kids are not sanctioned by NEFC. What an embarrasment to your club and team.

One thing I haven't figured out yet, what is NEFC BB and SSS E going to get out of playing 4th and 5th division in U12 Maple, other than another title against the weakest U12 teams. Can someone explain that to me. Playing in U11 blue would have been a better decision and better competition. I can see if they were playing U12 2nd or 3rd but bottom of the barrel teams.

Just not sure about the rationale, are they afraid to get beat by a top U11 team. This spring will be a waste of time for them. They should roll over every team. Would have been great to see the top U11 teams go at it and finally play against each other.

I agree with this poster. You're out of line and you obviously have self esteem issues.

Your comments are cruel and discriminitory. You are not only an embarrasment to your club and your team but you also put all soccer parent in a bad light. Your family must be astonished. Crawl back under your rock before you embarrass your daugther any more. In case you haven't noticed, it's 2011!

My daugther does not play for any of the clubs mentioned in this thread. She play for another club. I have great respect for any of the teams that are "true contenders" in this age group. You've now change my view of NEFC. Rest assured that she will NEVER play for NEFC with parents like you on the sidelines.

          Grow up!

I apologize, didn't mean to make it personal but everyone says how good your team is and I expected to see a great passing team and I didn't see that. More direct and playing with a forward up high in the box. Only teams that play long balls play like that. Forward should be tucked in and combining with the midfielders and passing, moving and creating space. Never saw that. Very important to play proper soccer or else girls will never get better. Nothing personal but everyone talks so much about how good their team is but they measure by wins and losses and not how the team plays.

Read this interview with a youth soccer legend Tom Howe:

SA: Over the years, have you seen American youth teams playing better soccer?

TOM HOWE: At the youth level, I still see a lot of long balls -- not from all teams. There are more and more better teams each year, but I wish more would try to play good soccer.

We play against teams that boot the ball a lot, and they might beat you. But they won’t beat you five years from now.

You’re going to lose until you get to a certain age. Then you get to a certain level you’re going to be really good. You’re going to play the game the right way – and it’s a beautiful game when it’s played right. I don’t think it’s such a beautiful game when it’s played in a different way.

Back to the actual game on the field. Stars of ma ties nefc kickers 2-2 tonight. I'd be interested from anyone who was there. How was the field? How badly did the weather affect the quality of play. Looks from the outside to be a big game from nefc as I thought stars was supposed to be head and shoulders above the rest of u11. Not looking for negativity just info from anyone who witnessed the game. Thanks in advance for the civility

Thanks didn't realize it was not their top team at first look. Are the kickers nefc "second" team after arsenal?

Time for you to stop worring about the NEFC BB and SSS E teams. Yes, it would be nice if they played the top U11's but it's not happening. The pro's and con's of this move have been hashed out over and over on this thread!! Time to let it go.

For such an 'unorganized club' their u10 team sure did demolish an awful lot of high and mighty NEFC teams at the NEFC tournament this weekend with an undefeated sweep resulting in 6-0, 6-1 and 3-1 victories over NEFC teams. The 'mom and pop' club as you call it seems to be doing alright if you ask me. And define for me a quality coach? The U10 coach was a Division I college player at Harvard and a High School All-American. Pretty great role model for our kids. She has coached college and is currently the head coach at Notre Dame in Hingham. She is the director of their Academy and they have at least 9 u10 teams! The Director of Coaching holds his 'A' license and has 40 years coaching experience not to mention he his very highly regarded and well respected amongst coaches in the coaching world. They just don't feel the need to run around parading themselves like some other clubs. Unlike every other organization, they have never merged and have been around a lot longer than most of the current clubs in the state. If you ask me they seem to be doing just fine for themselves. SSS is back on the rise and should not be underestimated.

Great day of soccer. Wish the weather had been better. Fields were great and at least that location ran very smoothly. Good job nefc

You have to understand that TS has evolved into nothing more than an NEFC advertisement, led by a few yahoos who enjoy bashing anything and everything in their way to become the top dog in Mass soccer. Hopefully their hubris catches up to them at some point.

SSS DOC is a great coach. Inspires and coaches in a positive way, and allows
all the players to play creatively. May not win as many trophies though.

Actually the SSS u10s are under hyped. Undefeated year, won Stars of Mass and CFC tournament and NEFC tournament this weekend. All without a loss. Didn't lose in the U11 division either this Fall and only tie against u10 scorpions (ever played on that field?). All with about half of the team being u9! It will be tough for them to compete against such great u11 teams this spring but give credit where credit is due.
