Then why keep score and everybody goes home with a trophy in your world. I would not make predictions if their was not a winner at this age group but like the previous post, it is a highly competive and talented group of girls playing in these games. I made the prediction because it is harmless fun unlike the previous post that belittle other players, parents, coaches, teams and clubs. I have never posted anything bad about another player, coach or club. I do not care about the politics involved in club soccer but the fun my daughter has playing on her current team. Predicting games at any age can be fun and entertaining unlike some of the other crap I see on this site.

How about some odds and over/under spreads as well then?

Nothing wrong with making predictions. This is the age group that their kids play in and it is highly competitive. I'd rather have somebody saying who they think will win rather than disparaging someone with personal attacks. If this particular thread does not involve your child feel free to ignore it. I hope the cold temps or field conditions don't become too much of a determining factor. Good luck to all and stay warm this weekend

Good response. While I may not concur with the predictions part, I understand your point. And I fully agree that it is better than the other crap on this board with people slamming other people, teams, clubs, etc.

Great post! We love FM!

Different Scorpion U10 parent here. Those of us with kids on the team are very satisfied with FM as our coach. Our players are being pushed, developed and treated well. Nobody is going anywhere. The reason that I know this is because most of us have committed to attending a major tournament late this summer.

The poster beating the 'FM is mean' drum is a sad little person. I am not sure what the motivation is and I dont really care... smearing a good person falsely and anonymously on a forum is a lousy thing to do, and I am sure it is being done by a secretly lousy person. It has no effect on me or the others with our team.

Whether we played in the best division, the worst division... who cares? The kids are 9 and 10 years old. They seem to be doing very, very well. They are being challenged and having a positive experience.

Our GK left because one of our other players, who happens to be a very good GK, expressed an interest in playing GK. The time in goal was going to be split so they made a decision. Great kid, very nice family, there didnt seem to be any hard feelings in either direction.

Another player asked to be moved down to the Premier team to give her time to better develop against players her own age. Nice girl, didnt seem to be any personality issues there.

All is well with Scorpions 'E'. We are all having a positive experience. Good luck to all the other teams and clubs. Enjoy it, it seems that the negative energy is going to take the fun out of it for some.

Just curious if anyone could add some insight. Western united has a team in the top division and one in the bottom division of this weekends tournament. Is there a big disparity in talent level or did western white get seeded way too low in bottom bracket?

They are tiered teams and, as such, there is a disparity in talent level between the two teams.

I guess my point was the size of the disparity. The second division of nefc is populated with u10 teams playing up. Can they compete with those teams. It seams the lowest division of u11 is pretty low seeding for a western united team.

They went winless in the bottom bracket of the Scorpion Bowl, so they may be seeded correctly here. We'll find out soon enough!

Different parent here .... He was very clear and told the parents if they wanted to know if their little Mia was in his plans for the fall just ask and that's when the keeper left . I asked and was told that we will have a spot for the fall and I also know of another parent that asked and FM told them that he wasn't positive that this girl would play elite level in the fall .

An unaffliated parent here. My kid does not play for Scorps. As a parent, let's end teh conversation about this kid and all other kids. Something just not right about grown men and women having dialogue this specific about anyone's kid. I am unaffiliated and know who you are talking about. Can we move on in the name of decency?

I thought South Shore Select was a club team based on the south shore. If they aren't a club team, what are they? Seem to have an awful lot of talent. I also thought NEP was a new, "developmental" league. Guess I should stop reading posts on this site, I seem to be getting a lot of mis-information.

Just for the record, we played the SSS E team in indoor and they played in the U12 division and added 2-3 U12 girls, so if you saw them indoor, that's not their true team. Girl in the back is a U12 player and like 5'8" tall and a good player. They have one outstanding U11 player ---, other than that they have 2-3 other OK players but not much else there. Looks like they may have picked up a new girl or two but nothing great, just fillingthe roster for 11v11!! I know a parent on that team that has told me about the issues and he is thinking of leaving now that they know club will probably not get into NEP. They are a glorified town organization.

Coaching is bad, coach can barely speak english and communication is bad. Teaching is bad, watched a game and he had his girls stretching the field to the point that the forward was next to the opposing goalie. It was embarrassing, no teaching of passing and moving and creating the triangles. Kick and run and win win win!!! I guess he is an old school guy that played semi-pro 40 years ago and his training is bad.

Now I know why, they won't get accepted to NEP. Only 2-3 good teams in the whole club. SSS E parents should leave now because your competition will be watered down town teams in Maple. It's too bad because they do have a couple of pretty good girls. They do like to win and that they will do in Maple but gilrs progess will be diminished.

This is helpful? A scouting report of a club and coach from who (are you)? You don't actually play for this team, however the in depth evaluation that you have reported must have came from what...a parent in the stands or better yet, one of the 12 yo girls waiting in line to get a slush and pretzel.

Was it difficult to talk with the coach regarding his team and club after the game? Is that when YOU determined that he could barely speak English.

Played them in February at oakwood lost 4-0 but our team isn't great and BB has smoked that SSS team before. Took a good look at them and nothing great. They play very direct and don't really play ball. A lot of kick and run. The --- is one of the best players around. Too bad she isn't playing in NEP. She needs to come to a top club.
