Hi, no they weren't in the lowest division of U 10.. The players on this u 10 team are from a couple if different scorpions teams.. 4 from the elite, that played with most of the current U 11E.. What a difference a year makes. Some people are saying they are leaving, it's possible that they asked how their daughter was doing and was told the truth.. That doesn't mean people have to leave, but you go to a club for the coaches.. If you can't handle what they say.. That's your fault. Ask your daughter, dud she like her new friends, teammates?? Or did her parents think she was better then she is, and moved her!!

You obviously don't know what your talking about or following the conversation. The scorpion u10 team that played u11 this past fall was in the weakest u11 division(green). The u11 elite team played in the white division against tougher competition and did quite well. The u10 team has already lost their gk and several others are pondering the move now but will be trying out with other teams. This was not a combination of other teams. FM wearing thin on this group.

Two separate worlds. There was the world where there weren't as many clubs, FM started some teams, got the area's best talent, and built an outstanding club. He hired a bunch of people more qualified than him to take the club to the national level.
Then there was the world where he chased all of those people away, got forced to leave his police job and high school job, and destroyed the organization he built, bringing in a staff of coaches who would do his bidding.
AKA, the end of Scorpions as a highly competitive club.

Yes, I know what I'm talking about.. They played in a weak division for fall, did ok.. The goalie left.. Ask why? Others are not leaving, they are maybe hinting at that, but they all want to be there in the fall..just afraid they won't make it. FM isn't wearing thin on anyone.. The girls love him., they all want to play for him.. Some take what he says, and they listen.. Others hear him and then listen to their dads.. Doesn't help..they aren't the coach.. A team will never work well together if the parents think they know more than the coach.. That is what I'm paying for. A coach, not a parent.if I just wanted parents, at this level, I would stay with with town teams!

I know why the goalie left. She was a marginal player and was going to get cut..right? She was a cancer on the team and a malcontent..right? Nobody ever leaves the scorpions that doesn't get trashed on the way out the door. What about this being a compilation of teams? Not true. If scorpions start losing their u9s and 10s then the future is not good. There are better options then FM around even in his own club. Unfortunately his ego is too big and he wants to be the guy to take his teams around the country when they become ecnl eligible.

Just curious really, I would never have my child play for someone who acts like that with my child, so I would like to understand the motivation.

Well, how about we just tell the truth.. The goalie left because her parents asked how she was doing and were told the truth.. The keeper they have now is great. No one has trashed the goalie who left, the girls really liked her.. they made her a friend.they miss her.my daughter has been recruited by the elite teams from other clubs.. She likes FM, and the group of players, friends that she is playing with.. Not all parents trash players that leave.. It was a shock. They will be a good team this spring, and a better team in the fall.

To the post about belittling my child, he doesn't, he coaches.. The day my daughter doesn't like what she hears, we will talk..
She likes FM, we are staying there. All of her town friends play for another club team, she doesn't care.. Likes where is, and her team.

Scorpion parent
Different Scorpion U10 parent here. Those of us with kids on the team are very satisfied with FM as our coach. Our players are being pushed, developed and treated well. Nobody is going anywhere. The reason that I know this is because most of us have committed to attending a major tournament late this summer.
The poster beating the 'FM is mean' drum is a sad little person. I am not sure what the motivation is and I dont really care... smearing a good person falsely and anonymously on a forum is a lousy thing to do, and I am sure it is being done by a secretly lousy person. It has no effect on me or the others with our team.
Whether we played in the best division, the worst division... who cares? The kids are 9 and 10 years old. They seem to be doing very, very well. They are being challenged and having a positive experience.
Our GK left because one of our other players, who happens to be a very good GK, expressed an interest in playing GK. The time in goal was going to be split so they made a decision. Great kid, very nice family, there didnt seem to be any hard feelings in either direction.
Another player asked to be moved down to the Premier team to give her time to better develop against players her own age. Nice girl, didnt seem to be any personality issues there.
All is well with Scorpions 'E'. We are all having a positive experience. Good luck to all the other teams and clubs. Enjoy it, it seems that the negative energy is going to take the fun out of it for some.

What happens if one the players that committed to the tournament gets cut? Do they still get to go? One way or another the team you have now will not be the same as the fall. FM is constantly looking to replace your child with someone better. Keep your eyes open and don't be naive about no ones spot is guaranteed and if they were a little bit honest they'd tell you that up front. Good luck
