I have inside information on a club putting together a U11 team with 3-4 U10 girls that will compete with all those top teams. Two different teams combining with a third. All I will say is I have seen these girls play and they can all play. No weak girls. Not starting until fall 2011, possibly NEP. One girl does stepovers and rainbows for fun. Tons of skill, saw her do a rainbow over a player during a game. Never saw a pro-player do it. Unknown girl to Maple. You will all be saying, where did this team come from. I was so impressed. Just happened to be watching this team at a facility where my brother lives and asked parents who this team was but none of them talked and obviously trying to keep it quiet.
I had the opportunity to see all these girls get together for a practice and I couldn't believe the passing and skills are like a mini-Barca!!

Good luck to the mystery team. I'm sure Nefc is real worried about a bunch of u10s beating them. Oh and no NEP unless they meet the criteria.

Maybe they didn't want to talk to some creep they've never seen before asking about a bunch of 10 year old girls

My kid plays for NEFC wise guy. Everyone thinks NEFC is all that there is out there. I like the club because my kid plays there but I was amazed at these girls I had never seen before. Even though I am with NEFC, I don't try to tell people that NEFC is the best thing in the world. I try to be humble, unlike some of you clowns.
They clean my pockets pretty nicely every month. These girls getting together are from two club teams and a couple of girls from a town team.
My brother is a D1 mens assistant college coach and he was so impressed at the level of these girls. The club is an NEP club and it will be interesting to see how they do. I guess we can't talk about anything else other than certain teams. I thought I would share what I saw, since there aren't many top level clubs at U11. I would think all the top teams would welcome competition or do you want to beat teams 11-0 every week. Let me tell you all something, less than 1% of kids get a full ride to school. Let the kids play and have fun and stop posting things about who the best team is. Who cares!!!

I agree with cleaning of the pockets. It's pretty expensive and coaches getting free rides all over the country. If our team did that, it would be the end of my daughter playing.
How did you get all the info on this team if you didn't know who they were?

I don't think that everyone thinks NEFC is all that is out there. Just people on Talking Soccer do. Do not think that this web site is the norm. It is not. It is just that the parents of the NEFC BB team and supporters of this team live on this forum. It does give the impression of that though.
Your last comment sounds too realistic and sensible for this forum. Too bad. I agree with you but if you ever post concepts such as "fun" or mention any other club, then the freaks come out immediately. They simply live to trash other clubs and the 10 and 11 year old kids who play for them. This attitude is what is worst about youth sports.DO you really think they want competition? Honestly? They love the 11-0 games.
I look forward to seeing these kiddos play. Thanks for the civilized post.

Represent the club in a nice way and don't worry about all the crap and let these kids play. I hope NEFC brass see these posts and see how out of touch and crazy these parents are.

Sometimes I don't tell people I belong to NEFC because I think the Top NEFC teams parents ruin it for all of us with their cocky attitudes. Thank god my daughter doesn't play for those teams. She isn't great but she loves to play. The parents think all those girls will play D1 on scholarship. They also think that money will buy their way there. Wrong!! I like to socialize with the parents from other teams and these parents look at us as NEFC and don't want to talk to us and at times say who have some tough parents on some of your teams.

My daughters coach and club owner warned parents that they would do well not to participate on this forum. The Club reputation could be hurt if we get caught up in the vicious tone of the comments. I love soccer and I love that my daughter loves soccer. Probably why I choose to keep coming on TS. So, good post and can't wait for Spring.

The person told me they are trying to get this team together and the coach wants to play at the highest level. He is trying to go to an NEP club and I guess hasn't decided on which one. I guess the Coach is a low key guy and wants the best for the girls and told parents to keep it quiet because he knows the kid recruits will come sooner or later!! So much for the parents keeping it quiet! They were practicing and then scrimmaging and that is when my brother and I were watching and wondering what club they were with. For all I know, they may end up at NEFC. I don't really care because it's not my daughter but I just thought I would share what I saw. The girl who did that rainbow over the other girl is real good!! Just pure natural talent. I have been around the game and my boys are in high school now and my daughter plays U11 for an NEFC team and I have watched the top teams play and these girls may be at that level but I only watched for 20 minutes. They did a one touch passing drill that was amazing and no one made a mistake.
Sorry, but I guess I'm still not getting it...

Which of the NEP clubs (besides perhaps NEFC) are you thinking will simply open their arms to this kind of overture?

What's the matter, no one else can try to succeed other than your team or top teams. The funny thing is the guy who posted that is from your club NEFC and he just posted what he saw and I can truly say that it would be a breath of fresh air to see a new team come in and do well and compete. I would think all teams would rather play close competitive games rather than blowouts. The more teams with talent, the better it will be in my opinion. It would speak very highly of our state and the type of talent that can come out of it. There are some good girls in town soccer that don't play because parents don't want to expose them to the viciousness of this sort of thread. I will tell you though that as much as we think MA has great teams, there are always better teams in other states. Trust me, MA isn't that great when traveling to big tournaments but we are ok.
