Look at some of the more successful clubs (Stars, Scorps, etc.) and look how many college coaches are on their staffs.
You people can't look past the next MAPLE win to see the big picture. What's the benefit of college coaches? How about contacts amomg the coaching ranks? How about a coach that understands the recruiting process and can offer advice to families on what to look for, and what to stay away from? I'd kill to have our club have one coach from a college that could help us navigate that road, never mind an entire staff of them.
I could not agree with this more. My oldest had a college coach as a club coach, and he was immensely helpful. Told us what thge coaches menat when they said certain things, help us understand what was real and was exaggerations, and gave us a lot more knowledge and confidence going through the process. It was an invaluable service to us, and it helped pick the right college.
How does a college coach help teams prior to high school recruiting age, U11 to U14/15? How has the girls U15 Bolts coach helped that team?

BTW I'm still waiting to find out who Melisa Colwell is. Apparently the Bolts defenders don't even know or they would have answered by now.

Bingo!! the schedule is already done for 08/09. Raliegh in Dec, Vegas in March and PDA in May. The whole year is already planned, this is a very good thing for all the clubs involved.

You've posted this several times. What the heck do you care if your kid isn't involved in the club or you don't want your kid to be involved in the club? You think your coming on this forum and shouting down folks who have made decisions different from yours makes you a better person? It just makes you look like an over-involved jerk who thinks he/she is always right and everyone else is always wrong. Geez I don't know anyone involved with or playing for this club but you are annoying beyond words with your constant badgering. Why are you even bothering to read this thread? Let the parents who are considering this club ask the questions of the people involved, but don't go dragging in people's names who you don't even know to your sour agenda.

            Keep waiting, loser.

Why the overwhelming obsession with the assistant coach of a girls U13 team that will likely play in division 2 next year? Surely there are more significant things you can worry about. Oh wait. You're an unashamed Bolts basher. No issue is too small when you see am opportunity to bash.

I have a girl in their program, and I'm not this obsessed with an assistant coach......get a life you bully parent. Go beat up on someone elses kids.

Funny how the same 2 defenders still can't answer the question. Nobody knows including whoever maintains the Bolts website.

Who is Melisa Colwell? If you do a Google search, it is probably Melissa Colwell and looks like she played at Worcester State.

Not surprising. The Bolts website is a mess. Some of the team pages haven't been updated in a year. Let's hope they've been putting their efforts and resources elsewhere.

They have 3 competitive teams at u15/u16/u17 and they full fill all the coaching qualification requirements.

I hope they will take the same bashing over travel expenses and time committments that the boys dap is taking. Let's not play favorites.........

The Stars teams already go to these three tournaments anyhow. All that has changed is guaranteed acceptance into the tournaments and confirmed quality of opponents. And in case you haven't noticed the bashing has gone on for a couple of years over it.

U17G lost in maple D1 yesterday and are forced to the relegation game. The defection of BTDT's keeper to MPS had a real impact. They still have state cup ahead of them as do the 14 and 18G. 17s have a challenge to advance at RR but 14s could and 18s will.

I usually don't grab the bait with posters like this, but in the interest of trying to purge the nonsense and immaturity from what could be a "normal" discussion, I'm going to suggest we have 2 options when contronted by club zealots like this who promote their brand by trying to tear down other clubs. 1) provide credabilty to such posters by continuing a back and forth volley of insults or hopeless attempts to bring reason to an unreasonable person. 2) ignore it. Move the dicussion along around the junk postings. It's our choice.
