Or she tried out several times and didn't make the team. Or she got cut one year....

    Burn the bridge, baby......
Or maybe s/he is just expressing the frustrations of watching a nationally known program go down le toilet. So much failed potential.
Others can think that the Bolts are going down le toilet, but those opinions are actually irrelevant. The Bolts are continuing what they are doing and don't really care what the nattering nabobs of negativism are blabbing about. They are continuing to develop and coach high level youth teams and players, rebuild their staff after a lot of changes, recruit excellent coaches, and trying to boost their girls program, which is clearly not as strong as their boys program. It will be interesting to see how clubs are chosen when the DAP expands to add a girls' program, since there are a number of Massachusetts clubs, including several discussed ad nauseum in this forum, that are powerhouses for girls' soccer and mediocre or just absent in boys' soccer.

You describe so well the problem at the Bolts.

How far away are the Bolts girls actually?

A few of their supposedly "weaker" teams are stingy on defense, and probably only a few offensive players away from all but national level squads such as Stars U15.

It seems as though they are not starting from scratch. Can't their offense ills be corrected through tryouts, coaching and recruiting?

Isn't this the reason Tony Mohammed was hired?

Get real. Who are they going to attract to the tryouts? What would attract them?

Down the toilet and failed potential? The complete lack of a fact or example from the negative/bashing posts speak volumes.

Why is it the bashers are so happy to post statements like this when they are not involved in the club? The fact is, you know nothing about the program apart from what you see in the standings or hear as second hand information. Your posts haven't a shred of credibility.

If the original poster is frustrated (and I suspect that orginal poster is you), then I am sorrty they had a better experience and I wish them luck finding a good fit from among the 100 or so other clubs available. But that was not a post made of frustration, it was made out of hatred.

Are you suggesting that they run their program according to what the anyonymous guest boobs like you post in this forum? That's a sure way to send the program down the toilet faster than the swirlie you got in high school.

How do you know I am not involved with the Bolts??? I know the problems first hand and it goes far beyond the standings. There needs to be a shake up in management. Meanwhile those of you with your heads firmly stuck up your buttocks who defend what has happened are watching the girls program fail and by the time you figure this out it will be too late. You don't care because it is the girls program, but your boys program is about to take a hit as well.

Well, it is true that the Bolts girls' teams are not, as a group, as successful as their boys' teams have been, nor as successful as some extremely powerful girls' teams from other clubs, such as the Stars and Scorpions. But given the caliber of their boys' program, being a founding club in the DAP, of course they would want to hire an excellent director for their girls' teams and work to raise the overall level of the girls side of FC Greater Boston. Club has posted their 2008-2009 coaching staff on its website: http://www.bluesombrero.com/Default.aspx?tabid=23822

You've got to be out of your mind if you really believe that.

Yes I love the "Dan Colwell assistant Melisa Colwell" translated to mean whenever there is a conflict in the schedule Melisa takes over. Who is Melisa???? What teams has she ever coached before?

How do I/we know you're not with the Bolts? Because you've done nothing but post non-specific club bashing. Why don't you post one or two specific examples of things that have happened at the club that makes you think the club is suffering from failed potential and going down the toilet?

Yes, I'll second that motion! And BTW, there was a major shake-up in management this past year: John Jr and Tracy Kerr left barely 6 months ago, Ainscough was officially name director of coaching in March, the DAP season started for the academy teams in December, and you're already calling it a failed undertaking! I will say from first-hand information that the majority of the families involved in the DAP are not throwing in the towel and deserting the club.
