Re: FCGB Names New Director of Girls Programs

I'm just saying that the Bolts will have girls teams in the spring at U15, U18, and U16, I'm now hearing. The U15 and U16 teams probably won't be very competitive.

Neither will the U18's even if they can cobble a group together. They were barely able to stay in D1 last spring.

In the final analysis, none of the girls Bolts team will be competitive this spring.

The U13's will be quite competitive in D2 and may make a respectable state cup run as well.

Are you basing this on the U13 team's stellar fall season?

Wouldn't it be more likely that they are headed for MAPLE D?

That is the trend after all. Heading for MASC, just like the 14's

All the teams seem to be in free fall. Maybe the U11s can break the curse.

Maybe their plan is to build from scratch starting at U10 and U11?

Do you consider a roster of 18 (with 2 players from last year's U18 state cup champion team who were playing up for TKerr replacing the 2 that left) as being a group cobbled together? Really? Sounds like your prediction must be based on fact, since you are CLEARLY in the know with this group.

Let's see what happens come spring. $2000 for a 7 game MAPLE season doesn't seem like tremendous value.

The cost is just for 7 games?

I hear the rate is something like $2300. Is this correct? And if you played for Bolts last season you have to use the same uniform.

Aren't you the coach of this team?

yes, they get new uniforms every two years. It isn't unusual for clubs to reuse a uniform from one year to the next. The last two clubs my daughter played for did this well.
