With relegation on the line, things are heating up in the Blue division. Unfortunately, the picture is likely to remain muddy going into the final week of play:
Bayside FC 3 Stars of MA 0 Bayside burns up the turf in a rout.
AC Arlington 1 Scorpions 1 Nothing is settled in the game of the week.
Western United R 3 Western United W 1 R trumps W in intraclub match.
FC Blazers 1 Galway Rovers 1 Rovers break scoreless streak to no avail.
New England Aztec 1 Benfica USA 1 Teams remain deadlocked in precarious position.Comment

OK, re the WU matchup, no question that ordinarily Red wins easily. BUT...knowing that the last-placed team usually gets sent to D3 for the Spring, and with a head-to-head matchup of White v. Stars next w/e to decide that fate, the RED team, fully confident in already having established its status as THE class of the age group, and having beaten ACA head-to-head, plays the game as if it were a scrimmage and White, anxious to get that first "W", goes all-out.
Now, before anyone spews profanity that I would even dream up the possibility of such machinations (disclosure, I have no involvement in Blue group in any way...just a fan, and I LOVE the two BU12 WU teams...great class and beautiful, effective play) read: fix) at this young age level, or any for that matter, lets not forget that other than last week, White has been in every game and on any given Sunday...Comment

No, the 2nd from green challenges the 7th from blue. The poster is assuming SF Vikings are the automatic promotion and Blackwatch will win the challenge game. Whoever is in 7th from blue should easily win a challenge from the green group.Comment
