Synonyms: elaboration, evolution, expansion, growth, progress, progression

So long as the above is happening there is development.

Most here are not discussing development. The concept being presented in most of the prior posts is goal seeking. Such does not necessary cause development.

Note that at the Learning to Train stage (U8 to U11 females / U9 to U12 males) it says "League standings are still not necessary". If I'm not mistaken, that is what lead us to this discussion.

Competition results are not maintained until U16!! No wonder Canada is not much of a soccer nation!

NB NEFC under 11 girls, yahoo coach trying to stay top of table with JD $tar$ $c team..
Ripped up Liverpool by 15 goals... played this team twice, and they are a classic kick ball team.... Send it long, play back then over the top first touch..

learning to pass would actually help this team, Eh mister NB

They beat the US U17 women's team to go to the Women's World Cup didn't they?

Actually they are very big on soccer. Look at the support Toronto and Vancouver have given their soccer teams.

The whole reason the Canadian Sports Association put out the Long Term Player Development Plan was to keep their hockey teams competitive with the Europeans.
