Any feedback on tryouts in this group? My daughters D1 team has a few drop-outs from last season due to conflicts and soccer burnout and didn't get a great showing of new girls at the tryouts.

This is from a top three MA team. It appears at the top levels that some of the kids who don't get the play time drop out or move, and it's hard to fill in with talent that has the training, skill and speed at this level.

If they were at the same level they would had more play time. You don't even know what type of players the coach picked up so why complain about it now. I know what team you are with and my child was chosen and now I'm having doubts when she was also selected by two other D1 teams to play for. Maybe we should rethink our decision before its to late.

Let's just say the team tied the sc winner this spring. Need anymore information? Have trust in your coach that he offered spots to players that will fit in with the team.

Teams need to apply first, then get accepted. Won't happen until the Spring.

What a small world soccer is. Don't worry we are considering the other offers from the D1 teams. Maybe you should be in the u-12 group with We are better then thou thinking. Try to soar with Eagles and not with Turkeys.

Scorps (probably Fred M.) just posted that the rising 14 Elite team was seeking a GK. They didnt or dont have a GK?

The keeper who played in State Cup was different than the keeper seen during most of the Maple season. She did a great job and was a difference maker - maybe that's not her preferred position (don't know, just wondering).

they actually had a goalkeeper at u11 and u12, but moved her onto the B team. they just rotate a number of field players into the goal right now.

It is ironic how this thread started with "what's wrong with the scorpions?" They have a lot of talent and should do well this weekend.

After winning the SC the Scorps look a lot stronger! Amazing how accurate hindsight can be.

The keeper I saw in the Semi and Final was different than the two GKs I saw in the RR.

Scorpions do play Lady Strikers in their group at Regionals. Both teams also play a very strong Bethesda team (top 20 in USA). Lady Strikers play them on the first day. That will be a very interesting game.

The Connecticut state champion is listed at the Rocky Hill Wolves. I thought FSA would be the strongest team from CT. This isn't the CFC Wolves?
