Internal server error

I get this message all the time in this forum and it is very annoying. Is it me or the forum?

Error 500 - Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.

Error code is probably returned to the www server from a CGI script being executed on behalf of the browser and passed on - could be as simple as timeout, etc. When I get them I just try to refresh and it usually works after a sec. Hang in there!

i also found that posting takes forever to go so i have been clicking on "Massachusetts" once i see 2 green progress bars. Cant wait as its far too long

OK, try this - I suspect that all of the crap we post goes into a database, so when you try to see the list of topics, or the posts that comprise a topic, the webserver (the program that presents the pages to you) sends a request to the database looking for the up-to-date list of "stuff". That request is the CGI script (CGI stands for Common Gateway Interface, it's just a specification that the webserver uses to interface (talk) to other programs, in this case, the database). When there's a problem, for example, it takes too looooonnnnnngggggggggg, you get the error.

Does that help?

Bottom line, try again...it has worked correctly in the past, it will work correctly in the future, it's just having a problem right now...
