Does anyone have any idea the numbers of cars that can fit in the main lot? I'm just curious because someone had suggested that paving the lot and lining the parking spaces would be helpful with the spacing issues (also the washboard and pothole issues). But of course, there is the expense of doing so, so the same person suggested they charge for parking on weekends, such as this past weekend, when there is a lot of activity going on. They suggested a small fee of $1, which I wouldn't be opposed to paying if it was earmarked for such an improvement. I'm just wondering how long it would take to finance a paving project at $1 a car.
No, we don’t need another user fee, parking fee (call it whatever you want). Didn’t they raise the membership fee recently in order to build this place? Did they not factor in the cost to have paved parking? Yes, it is a wonderful facility we can all be proud of, but we shouldn’t have to pay to watch our kids play games there. We’ve already done that. Don’t give them any more ideas or we’ll all soon be paying admission.

I don't think a $1 parking fee will dent anyone's budget.

Those of us who are sick and tired of being taxed and fee'd to death thank you.
Are you serious, this does not need to be paved, just bring in a grader and a truck of crushed stone and the potholes are fixed in an hour. Are you afraid of getting your 4wheel drive SUV dusty? Or your BMW gets its paint chipped? Hire some high school kids to direct parking so the beemer jackasses dont take up 2 spaces and we're good to go. Anyway, aren't they supposed to put in more parking where the pit is just west of the current entrance, you will walk from there to the back fields (nice picnic area there by the way) in just a minite. Anyway, gravel is much greener than hot top, like Joni Mitchell said, they paved paradise, put up a parking lot, there are a lot of things we need more than paved parking, lights for example.

Out of staters are using it also. This is a way for them to contribute to it's use.

Are you serious?!
Why wouldn't I be serious? There are teams from inside and outside of New England using the fields on a regular basis. Might as well have them pay the toll.
The home teams or host teams are paying a fee to use the Progin park fields. Those teams get all the advantages that being the home team bring. In my opinion it would be pretty rude to charge the opponents for parking.
Plus if you charge for parking some folks might go elsewhere to park and that would cause problems for Mass Youth Soccer as well. Let's let Mass Youth Soccer be a good neighbor so they can get lights put up on the turf fields.

You'd go park elsewhere rather than pay a $1?
Once you open the door, where will it end?
With a paved parking lot??? How about a clubhouse?
