Of course there is but there is an organization to police them.

I have no problems with a player playing up but a player playing down (which is illegal, no way defending that bucko) is just wrong on all counts. My whole point is to those throwing out accusations. It is easy to say someone is overaged or was recruited illegally or whatever (look all all types of blogging, happens all the time) then prove that the accused is cheating. If you can't, then keep quiet.
The only one that is hurt is the kid that could play up whether because of ability or a falsified birth certificate. The Dutch will actually have older kids play down if their ability or an injury dictate it. Age placement is not the big deal there that it is here, because they place kids on teams that are in the best interest of the individual player.

That is not really what I am saying. I'm not talking about falsifying documents and cheating for the sake of winning. The situation I am talking about is the boys who are being labled as a 'man child' but are actually playing with the kids in their grade. Typically these are immagrant kids that started school late. These kids may be 15 physically but often have been socialized as a 12 year because of their school experience. Truthfully I think people are making a mountain out of a mole hill because the vast majority of these kids are really the equalevant of an early developer and tend not to go and make a big splash.

Apples and oranges. When we start doing the same thing here (academies, no "national chamipons") then say something. Oh wait, then that would kill the clubs.

Then don't have leagues and competitions.

No. Everyone is a winner for putting forth the effort. But only the first place teams gets the winning trophy.
No one is saying to get rid of incentive. That would be socialism. Some are saying that trying to win by cheating is not the right way.
By your comment you are saying that giving up cheating is equal to giving up competition and promoting mediocrity. This is purely pathetic and stupid....although I respect that this is your opinion and you have a right to it......no matter how pathetic and stupid it is.
You are clearly from a team/club that is being targeted for cheating.

You couldn't be further from the truth I started the post. I guess sarcasm does't translate well in this medium. I was actually castigating a couple of the posts that indicated there wouldn't be cheating if we were not so concerned with winning.

All games have rules if you disagree with them or don't like them then play something else. Rules are designed to create a level playing field for everyone.

Wow - this set of posts beats all records on this site for being boring and stupid - you win a trophy for that.
