But the opposite is isn't true. Town teams (or any age appropriate team) can participate in the State Cup. Tewksbury could have done the State Cup tournament if they chose to.

Maybe they should next year. There will be no dual rostered players so they should be all set.

ODP for the 97 year is a joke. The talent pool varies from age to age. Just because your child is in the ODP pool...don't get too excited. Take a realistic look at the players around you. Even at the 96 level, it isn't that impressive. The girls at my daughter's age who are in the pool aren't even at the top of our town. Sure there are some fantastic players at 96 and 97, but being in the pool doesn't mean you are one of them.
