The last 2 posts are way off base. Make the kid realize how much his or her poor play affected their teammates! If I was the coach, I'd also ridicule the player until tears are flowing.

I kicked mine out of the house. I see him every now and then near South Station with an old Dunkin Donuts cup full of change. Some people question my motives but I cant have a loser living in my house no matter what the age was when he became a loser, 9, 10....didnt matter. All that matters is what I tell my neighbors, The Jones. I actually told them he went to boarding school to an elite prep school and is now getting his PhD at Yale.

Based on how seriously the parents consider this tournament, I think you shoould put the child up for adoption and try all over again with another kid. I don't know how you could live with yourself knowing that there are other families out there with kids who have an Andre Cup medal.
