Really? With 50 something teams and twice the kids that any other club has, they should have won a lot more. As for disgruntled parents...when your sold something and told that all the state team coaches are at this club and your kid will be able to walk onto the team if he/she just joins our club and works with this "super" coach... only to have it be the same story they told 1000 other kids and the same story they are telling hundreds of new players they are trying to recruit, then poeple tend to get upset when it does't happen for all 1000 of us and it starts to be clear that it was more a sales pitch than the truth.

Are you really that naive or do you just play that character here on this forum? If you must come here to vent your anger (I actually do understand the need to do that) be constructive and add something positive to the discussion. If you don't like NEFC (like every club, it DOES have its warts) help others who hold similar feelings find a solution. Be specific and tell everyone which coach in what club you think is better and why.

Not the same poster as above, but a question: do you take away a state cup win at U19, which is really not much of a title anyway, if the team doesn't even want to go to Regionals and forfeits its spot? They are not going to West Virginia despite the "win" at that age group.

Great. But at U17, they'll be technically way behind the kids getting the proper focus and coaching. Then it will too late. Until then, have a great time.

You may not like some of the coaches from the clubs that NEFC merged with in the past, but you cannot take away from the fact that they had a very good record at State Cups this year with the number of teams reaching the finals and then winning. Any disgruntled parent who says otherwise is just that. Getting real tired having the same old cry babies on this forum keep entering their bashing. This site would be a whole lot better if they required you people to identify yourselfs so we would all know that it is probably the same person in most cases doing all the bashing. Get a life and hopefully your kid will have one too.

It's people like you with the problem. I will agree that not all the coaches at NEFC are bad, but a whole lot of them are competing for themself through the kids and as a result they are actually holding these kids back from becoming better soccer players. That's the shame of it all.

They are not going to WV. My daughter played for them this year by default as last year's team did not enter U19 this year and she really wanted to play. We heard this morning that they are not going to regionals. My daughter is frustrated to say the least.

Trust me: I was there last year and the 18's and 19's were playing in horrible venues. She is missing a chance of getting injured. She will gain more by just playing in any women's summer league around here. I heard a lot coaches from those age groups at WV hinting that this year they would not return there. Perhaps that is the reason of lack of participation of most of 18's and 19's teams?!?

What are you talking about? No one has ever said ALL the state team coaches are at NEFC.

Do you work for NEfC, because this sounds like spin at its best. NEFC was not at regionals last year in this age group or U18, so they would not have this background info to judge by. And if that was the case, how about saying to the girls "even if you win the one game state cup title we have no intentions of going to regionals. We will, however, brag about the title and use your efforts to promote our club."

If you tell the kids before the state cup that there plan is to not go to regionals if they win, it takes the motivation away from the players. tehy you can't claim a state cup title.


The shame of this is that Tri-Valley used to be a really nice, player focused club that has now morphed into a massive, classless, monolith that is quickly becomeing the most despised club in the state.
