R1 and SubR Games

trust me, i've probably been to more state cups and regionals then anyone on this board.

An admirable quality <gag>, how proud your mom and dad must be. Done any volunteering to help the needy or contribute to a charity?

i was poking fun at the arrogance of the ss and stars roadies who know they are the only teams in the state and once that game was complete, state cup champion was a foregone conclusion

How do people think the teams will do in the semi finals in Del. Predictions?

Stars 14s have a very tough contest against Penn Strikers, but they have a huge advantage in just getting to Delaware. They could lose in the semis and still qualify for the automatic WC birth to regionals because the other three are also all favored to win their respective SCs.

Stars 15s are the favorites but the field conditions will play a big part and Montclair is an excellent opponent. Scorpions get PDA, that should be a great game. Key will be their health and player availability.

Stars U17s have an excellent shot. IMHO, the best team in the South (McLean out of VA) did not get in - despite a 4-0-3 record and not giving up a single goal. I like the Stars chances against this field, but Montclair scores a lot of goals and defense has been the Stars weakness so the semis will be the top test. Liker the 14s, just reaching DE puts them in a great spot for the WC.

Bolts U18. The state's forgotten team. Despite two SC championships and a Regional Championship everybody wants to write them off. But here is the secret / next to the U15 Stars they have the most legitimate shot a play-off ti*tle

Massachusetts had an excellent showing in Region One Premier League. Of the 20 teams attending the playoffs from the North divisions - half the entries are from Massachusetts - which is GREAT!
