    Toyota College Cup

I think someone already mentioned this event in Lancaster during the weekend of April 12, 13 - but here is the link:

Men are Saturday the 12th and women are Sunday the 13th. There are also a bunch of Premier League games on Saturday.

Are they playing all their games on grass? Otherwise it looks to be pretty crowded on field 2. Who do you think wins the battle for that field, the college boys or the 14 year old girls? My $$$ is on the girls. ;)

        Onthree here.
From what I hear, the Toyota Classic DOES plan to use grass fields.

The grass fields open that weekend and it may be that everyone is using them.

Does anyone know how BC and BU did yesterday at Lancaster? Did anyone see the games?

BC lost both games..i think the first was 3 to 0 versus St. Johns and the second loss was 1 to 0 versus Uconn. BU one at least one game, think it was 1 to 0 versus syracuse...don't know the other score

I watched a stretch of the BU/URI game. In the time I observed, possession was all BU. URI scored against the run of play twice while I was watching. (I believe the final was 3-1, but I wasn't there at the end). I enjoyed BU's style. They clearly worked to move the ball east-west and tried to be disciplined in reloading when facing an organized defense in the final third. They didn't seem concerned by the score. (Later, I heard from a staffer that they were, indeed, working on changing the point of attack.) URI's play did not leave a mark on my memory. Credit to them to find a way to take advantage of some possession to score.

I watched only a bit of the BC/St. John match. In the brief time I watched, BC looked more organized on attack, using the flanks to get the ball forward for crosses. St. John looked a bit more organized defensively, shutting down lanes and gaps fairly well. I saw an unfortunate keeper error allow a St. John restart to score from 30 yards or so (slick conditions perhaps working against her) and a defensive breakdown allow a St. John attacker to get through for a 1v1 with the keeper (I was somewhat watching at this point...).

Not a complete report by any means. But it was great to be able to catch some local college soccer on the fly.

I watched BC UConn. BC was in front of the UConn goal for almost all the first half. Not sure if everyone was tired or not, but I didn't see much organized offense. Not sure what the UConn coach did at half time but in the second half UConn came out strong and spent most of the time in front to BC's goal. There was some effort at offensive playmaking. The sole goal was a beautiful header off a corner kick.

Are the scores from the college and/or club team games posted anywhere?
