The coach tells you she'll get more playing time on the B team and you couldn't see the writing on the wall? Maybe you just didn't want to hear what the coach was telling you.

Here's a big problem with our current system and everyone is at fault. The clubs because they often do not give the B teams the same attention they give the A teams and parents who look at being sent to the B team as a demotion, when actually it can be a good place for a player to get more valuable playing time or recover from an injury. A good start to changing the system would be through the elimination of player passcards and frozen rosters and moving to a system of club passcards and flexible movement between teams.

How fair is that? You pay and play for years, and then get edged out right when exposure is critical. Remind the parents wanting "better" players it might be their daughters' next. Good luck.

Give me a break, players get cut and move all teh time, it is the nature of the beast. Sad but true. Would someone leave for greener pastures, of course. Just paying, or being the sibling of another club player is a very lame excuse to keep players.

If she was any good and actually had a chance at playing in college you wouldn't be posting this. Let her finish her soccer career when high school ends and let her move on with her life. It is really not that important.

We know a kid who was cut at U15 and who has just committed to a very good D1 squad.
