U18G D1 Results

Don't really want to start a new thread on this, just looking to get info.

MAPLE results shows Crusaders F forfeited against Pittsfield. Is that accurate? If so, what happened? Was the drive too much? Not really joking there -- it's got to be about 4 hours each way from the Cape to N Adams.

There were several forfeits yesterday across all age groups. It happens every year during vacation week. The U18 divisions will probably have forfeits throughout the season as seniors are partaking in college visits, orientations and other high school related senior activities. That being said, it is a long trip down the pike to exit 2 and I give the Pittsfield team credit for making the trip out here repeatedly over the years.

Ok, thanks. Figured as much. Question in extreme cases like this, wouldn't it make sense to schedule the game 1/2 way, like in Worcester, Palmer, or Sturbridge? It's tough to give up the home field, but it should even out in the long run.

That would make too much sense.

Maple should be a little more flexible with this age group and allow rescheduled games, especially when you've got 2 teams at either end of the state.

5-0 is a large margin especially since sachems has won its prior three games - a few by even a larger margin. Are all the players still playing?

This weekend has been a tough weekend for many teams in this age group to get players to the field. Too bad there couldn't have been some accomodations made to have the game played when CRU had all their players. Under the circumstances of this team this season, it's a sad way to end their SC run.
