Kids don't learn by being yelled at, they learn by being taught and good coaches know that.
Did you observe this particular coach on more than one occasion? Do you know him to be a bad coach?

Was speaking to the club in general who are known to have yellers coaching for them and the fact that the success of CFC has dropped from what it had been earlier in the decade.

CFC may also be a good example that cornering the market on players doesn't necessarily work as is often hoped for by many parents and coaches in this forum. Competition is good. Monopolies bad.

Evidently that's why Scorps managed a scoreless draw vs SCP 17's at SB and NEFC Tarabelli lost to them 3-0 this past weekend?

Mass pop 6.6 mil Ct 3.5 mil in 2009

Mass should have many better teams than Ct, not just one or two.

You can't compare the two states based on the results of 2 games at U17. As we know, Scorpions have lost some of their players and probably played that game without their NT player. And we don't know what players are playing for SCP now or previously.

You have to look at trends overall over a much longer period of time. At the beginning of the decade Connecticut saw greater success than did Mass despite the population size. Mass has now advanced past them as far as the top teams are concerned. Look at MM ratings. At both U16 and U17 Mass has 3 teams rated higher than does CT's top 1. Below that though, CT does much better than Mass.

Take a look at GS ratings too, especially at U15 and U18.

There was indeed an accent. One of those coaches whom after you've witnessed their style of coaching, you think how happy you are that your kid is NOT on that team.

Indeed ! Here's a direct quote from one of their matches in the not to distant past. Yelled at her, from the sideline.

" M----- ( player's name , 12 years old ) , pick up your head and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Get into this game now, or you will be sitting here on the bench and watching . You can be replaced "

So bloody what? She is 12 on a premier team-----toughen up. I have no problem with a coach saying such things as long as it is deserved(ie.child sulking).

Some loser faggot parent raising a whiny bed wetter of course will.

Wow, you are a tough guy, not the typical soccer player, or are you just sitting in your mother's basement?

I was also at that game waiting for my daughter’s game to start. As his team was going down by a few goals his players were getting very pushy. When their opponent began to return some of the physical play one of his players must have complained to him because he came back with this gem. “You are getting beat by a better team so shut up and take it”. If this was U-17 it might have been amusing but 7th graders?

Lots of Yankee hats and sweatshirts shuffling off the field at the end of the game.

I often wondered what the parents of the poor kids thought while watching this go on.
I guess this is what they are thinking.

This would be the last time my child played for that coach. There are better ways to motivate children to do their best without putting them down.

No, he's just plain stupid and showing his ignorance as was the coach. Both might want to take some coaching courses or pick up one of the many books on coaching children.

Probably too stupid to be able to read.
