Yes. I only meant a poor year not a poor career record.

Mr. Stats - In the old touchline didn't you specifically challenge Cujo (then Cowjo) because his team lost more than it won and imply that the poor record of that year was due to his poor coaching?

You seemed to know his real name, where he coached and took the time to look up his record to buttress your arguments. You are a smart man and know a lot more about Cujo than you admit.
      Nice try, Cujo/Cowjo.

      You forgot to log in.

You are mistaken about the details. Please read the paragraph you quoted again. I stand by my statement. I have never met you. I don't know who you are and I don't have any idea specifically where you coached (some Catholic HS somewhere, perhaps in New Hampshire?) because I decided not to pay more than cursory attention to your own statements about that.

Give it up. Get a life.

        Mr Stats,

That was me not Cujo who made that comment. Your past posts contradict your statement that you know nothing about Cujo. Just admit it and move on. Remember it is usually the cover up that trips you up.

Yes we had a losing year after I graduated a group of 8 that started for three consecutive years. In HS soccer you play with the cards you are dealt. Unlike in MAPLE you cannot recruit. Things always run in cycles. You go through rebuilding years every so often. Part of our problem was declining enrollment. School went from 420 students down to 230 and then closed this year. I am sure Mr. Stats will pin that on me too.

Unless you are a big parochial school like St. Johns, CM, BC High or Xavarian. Then you just wait for the talent to roll on in!!

True - I remember one year the Fenwick coach telling me that he had 126 girls trying out. I think he ran two Freshman teams. I think I had 23 players at tryout that year - some of whom had never played soccer.

The talent does roll in, but those schools do not recruit.

I think he meant that they "roll in" in their expensive cars from the wealthy suburbs.
