The only problem with the u12 group is that the talent is more widely spread out than the other age groups - this makes it appear as if the age group as a whole is weaker because individual teams aren't having a lot of success.

        Match up of the weekend

RI Rays v Blackwatch, no love lost between these two. I bet the Blackwatch parents are even more obnioxious to the RI parents. Even though most are from the same town.

Starting to look good for Ma, all the haters should just take a day off and continue to bash tomorrow.
The Mass. teams did well and definently opened a few eyes. Congrats to all the teams.

Everything is just fine. All the clubs are concentrating on "development" and not caring about the "win". Every player is getting equal "playing time". All the clubs are "well-run" and treating everyone fairly. North Shore, South Shore, Central Mass, Western Mass - everywhere you look kids are just having fun playing soccer and their parents aren't involved.

BUZZZZZZZZZZ. . . . . oops, sorry! That was my alarm waking me up in the middle of a great dream!

The vast majority wear out by U15. At U13 they are wearing Man U underwear - three years later it's in the Salvation Army donation bin. My favorite year coach was U17 and U18 MAPLE. Kids drove themselves to the games and practices. Parents who showed up on the sidelines were relaxed and happy. Worst year was U12. 4 factions on the sidelines. 4 player cliques. Meddlesome DOC. Coach who allowed himself to be manipulated and lobbied. Coach waited until August to notify my daughter she was not be retained from U11 season. She was out of soccer because it was too late to get into travel leagues - then called her up after first game when his 3 new recruits now-showed and switched to another club. At one point at half time a parent ran across the field at halftime to get at the coach because he benched her for being late. The bad sport parents got everyone thrown off the sidelines at Berkshire for threatening the ref and that parent later watched the game from a tree branch behind the net. By the end of the season my wife and I were convinced we had enough material to write a screenplay. The tree-dwelling parent later became semi-"famous" in Mass for his HS hockey team's bench clearing brawl in which he was a participant. The following year we had my daughter play for Fredy Day. No pun intended it was like "Night and Day". My daughter learned to relax and play the game. The year before she was so afraid to make a mistake that she was paralyzed on the field. As were most of the kids. They spent the entire season getting yelled at from both sides of the pitch.

                        Whats next for Western

Stick it out and work through the problems
                        Replace the coach
The team breaks up and becomes a shadow of itself
                        Players don't play anymore
                        Players move to Pioneer's/Berkshire/CT/Fuller

My crystal ball isn't working for some reason.

the 2 or three pissed people leave and the coach doesnt have to worry about playing them. The initial concern a few weeks ago was that the coach is to fair with playing time and that was a weakness.

clearly that is not true. The team will be smaller, but probably just as productive if not more

Take the smaller team anyday. There should be a 15 max on each team especially U-13 and up. Don't have to worry about playing time and the parents crying to the coach.
