I'm not a WU parents, but depending where in Western Mass the player lives you are talking somewhere between 75 and 100 miles and about 3 hours round trip. This is insane at this age. Kids should be spending more time playing soccer than sitting in cars at this age.

I don't see the coach's credentials any better at the Stars either. In fact the WU coach may actually be better as he's accomplished what he has in an area of smaller population for a club that can't be regarded as the girls' destination club of the state.

This definitely looks like parents making the move for the wins.

FC Scam...keep shelling it out though $$$$$$$$$$$................

This makes me laugh. We all know that the club is on par with others regarding price so this does not make sense. Love to know the scam because I do not see players flocking away from the club. Oh and for the DOC yes big bad Dewhurst give me a break, I am not even from the club and I wish all DOCs had a much say and interaction has he does in what teams do. If players want to leave and go to another clun so be it. It is a decision they have to make. It has nothing to do with anyone else apart from that family.

You are absolutely correct - why everyone is willing to drive an hour plus each way to avoid a loss and a tie for two wins. Does that make sense to you? No of course not - so why assume you know why players are moving when you have no idea? Because you can come on here and given a astupid reason and then put them down for it?

Maybe you ought to figure out why a number of other players are driving south to CFC and Oakwood and east to Stars and other clubs instead of staying home..

No you are wrong I am not from the club but I used to be so I do know. My daughter plays for another club right now and is very happy. So before your accusations go any further once again you are wrong.

He or the club do not need any more propaganda as idiots like you keep giving to them. You probably know nothing about the situation so just go away. You have found a thread to bash and you have gone with it. the comment about the Stars DOC was just ridiculous and I cannot believe people reacted to it. He has shown he is a very good DOC and keeps a well run club going, not to mention as one person said probably one of the most if not the most successfull coaches in the state. Oh before you say it no I am not with the Stars. People have finished with Fred so lets go at someone else. It will be someone else next week.

Driving all that way so the DOC can dictate what you do...where you play, etc

I have read some dumb posts on here in the past but this beats the lot. Dictates where you play??? Ok we signed you as a GK but the DOC says you have to play CF

Why? What's the problem at WU?

What makes you think the DOC involvement is a negative? He is after all one of the most successful coaches in the state.
I'd still like an answer. A sensible answer. How can the involvement of a knowledgeable, not to mention hard working and committed DOC be a bad thing?

No idea - but I suspect the players that are driving elsewhere all have reasons - maybe even different reasons- and most likely none of them have to do with moving to a winning team.

You can't fix the problems unless they can be defined. Traveling 3 hours round trip is not a good solution to the problems, not for a 12 year old nor all the other kids in Western Mass. who can't make that ridiculous commute.

I'm glad your daughter is happy because it seems you aren't. You seem a little Star struck and longing for the old days given your previous comments.

Not at all, I was just stating a fact about the DOC of the club my daughter used to play for. You take it how you want. You are the one that seems to have the problem.
