    Will MPS Join ECNL?

Read this comment in another thread and thought it deserrved discussion.

"I'm not so sure MPS will apply to join ECNL. MPS is doing very well, and it would be crazy to open such a can of worms. Let's for argument sake assume they apply for their Renegades teams. What happens to the Lady Crusader, Phoenix and North Shore teams? Will the best girls be able to move to the "elite" Renegades squad? Imagine the upset kids and parents of the girls they leave or kids they displace. The entire idea seems to run counter to their development approach, starting at the very young ages in the SOE programs."

Might MPS be invited? If so, do they join? Would they then need to reconfigure their business model in some manner? How?

I am a satisfied MPS parent and genuinely interested in what other, perhaps more knowledgable and experienced posters think, so please no bashing.

THe ECNL league will likely provide a higher level of competition althought I am not convinced of that after watching some of the games played in TX and FL. Yes there are very good teams playing ECNL but there are also many teams that do not belong in this league. I think a decision NOT to play (if invited) will limit the overall quality of their matches.

I have a question on how the ECNL works, sorry I'm still getting up to date on this league. There are 40 clubs in the ECNL right? Now do they drop clubs and add new clubs every year? If they do how do they determine who gets dropped and which clubs get added/invited?
      Thanks in advance
