Is it too early to start talking 2010 boys ISL?

this was a pretty great year, I'm reluctant to let such an interesting league go for a full year

ill take a look first at the top couple of teams.

      BB&N
A whole lot of 2010's on the roster. Nugent especially is going to be hard to replace. However, just a bout al the scoring is gone, by my count BB&N is losing its top 6 scorers to graduation in addition to the leagues best goalie. I see them experiencing a bit of a dropoff.

      Roxbury Latin
Not necessarily graduating alot in numbers but graduating a lot in importance. Losing the leagues leading scorer, 2 all league center backs and one of the leagues best keepers. That said, I think Reifsnyder is in for a big year, and could see him as the offensive MVP for the year this year. Also, Wheeler-Ominu is supposedly the best 2013 in the state, but we shall see. I see them dropping off, but not by a lot. I think they'll be a top 4 finisher for the year.

      Brooks
Losing Vozella, but returning a whole lot as a team, including their second leading scorer, 4 of the top 5 scorers, and very talented keeper in Vieira (the scorer) and Martin (the goalie). I think that there is nowhere to go but up for the Brooks side, I see them taking the league this year.

      Thayer
Again, like Roxbury Latin not losing a whole lot in the ways of numbers, but losing a huge part in terms of scoring with the loss of Grady. Their whole offense ran through Grady, and without him I could see them having trouble scoring. That said I dont see them giving up a whole lot of goals, returning a lot of solid defenders and a solid keeper in Quade. I think theyll experience a drop off, but stay top half of the league.

          Nope.

Nobles had 2 juniors on their team this year, so next year is very light on seniors. On the other hand, their fresheman and sophomore classes this year were heavy on talent, and next year's team will be dominated by many returning juniors years as well as sophomores coming up from JV. Might not be a perfect year, but the following year should be strong.

Simpson will replace Nugent just fine. Some other Revs on the team. BBN lost 11 seniors, 4 were all league. Most ISL teams lost 1 or 2 key players. It will take them a while to rebuild. They could drop off right thru the floorboards.

Don't know who they are but their two center backs are going to be even harder to replace. They killed us when we played them, plain and simple. Does anyone know if they were among the all-league selections and where they are going to college?

YES!! The 2009 uniforms haven't even been turned it yet. This will be more fun once the recruiting rumors start.

Well, if there are Revs on the team they should be fine. Maybe some of the other teams would like to concede now.

The 2009 BBN team were all Bolts and no one conceded. Is BBN the only team in the ISL?

Really? Where do you get your information? There are two maybe three Bolts DAP players on the team. Only know of two for sure. Some of their best players were not on either the Bolts or Revs from what I understand. Shocking, I know.

Rivers may have the best freshman class for fall 2010.

i truly think that the biggest thing leaving the league after last year are premiere center backs. granted there are some scorers on the way out (brown, cahill, grady etc), but i think the lasting impact are big time center backs and keeprs for that matter leaving for college.

i dont know if id say theres that much being lost in net necessarily in terms of numbers. but the top half of the league are losing some seriously talented guys. I dont know a whole lot about the replacements so any help would be nice.

BB&N- Nugents gone, thank god for the rest of the league. Sampson is apparently the next inline. I dont know a whole lot about him, but from what i Gather he's a solid player and won't cost the team much.
RL- Hrenchuk graduates in the spring, leaving a kid named Lempres. have literally nothing on him. all i know is hes going to be a senior next year apparently.
St Sebastians- Losing Gregg who I was never all that high on. Again the back is up a 13. Piersiak so I can only assume he's pretty talented to have made a pretty high caliber team last year as a freshman.

Other than those three though, the top half ofthe league are all returning their number ones.
