U17 Rovers, CASL, NEWSS and Got Soccer

As a non-Stars or Scorpions parent, I wish to congratulate Stars Rovers on their good performance at CASL and their great performance at NEWSS.

That said, Rovers got 16,817 points this weekend at NEWSS and no points last weekend at CASL. I realize how the Got Soccer points are awarded, so I have no issue with the calculation.

I have a major question regarding the validity of the Got Soccer system with such a swing from tournament results over a ten day period for one team. Zero points one weekend to 16,817 the next weekend is bazaar and removes most credability from the entire Got Soccer ranking system.

That all said, I am very happy to see Stars Rovers #1 in the State, # 3 in R1 and #5 in the nation. Hard work pays off!

Looking forward to the new Mathman release.

How come the Rovers didn't get any points at CASL? I thought the 2nd place team ("finalist") in showcases got points?

Man, that's a heck of a lot of points for getting shutout in 3 of your 4 games!

In a word, GOT soccers rankings are "inconsistent". There is a method to them, but the method leads to inconsistency.

Why are the U14G Stars no longered listed ?

Getting old. Why don't you just give them a little credit for a decent performance. Too busy grinding the ax

For the record, I'm with Seacoast. Just trying to acknowledge the Rovers accomplishment.

The funny thing is that if you DON'T do well, your stock can drop like a rock in the Gotsoccer system.

And if you do not go to many tournaments, you could be a very good team in the same boat as the teams not doing well.

It is like you can buy points by going to the most tournaments possible, almost like buying a vowel on "Wheel of Fortune". CASL = Great tournament = 0 points; NEWSS = good tournament = 16,000+ points. WOW!!

Looks like NEWWS is trying to be one of the big boys. Wonder how much that costs? LOL
