Why aren't there any players from WB? They did finish 15-4-0

Girls Side: All New England picks were Ashley Jaskula (Cathedral) Ali Fitzsimmons (West Springfield) and Sarah Brochu (Minnechaug). No All-Americans this year for the girls from WMASS

Boys Side: All New England picks were Johnathan Gomez (Minnechaug) Jake Bartnik (East Longmeadow) Delano Brown (Cathedral). Michael Jordan (Ludlow) was named an All-American.

While i think it's great for the kids these selections can sometimes be a farce. I hear that they pushed for seniors. More politics...just what we need in high school sports. Good God. I know of a league MVP that was beaten twice by my daughters undefeated league champion team...good going guys.

                Nope, just the facts

Honestly, I just hate politics. Put the best kids on the team regardless of class. It's the way it should be. And NO, I don't think my kid belonged on the team.

Soccer is a team sport. Just because your daughter's team beat the MVP's team doesn't make her a better player. That logic could be applied to all the kids on your daughter's team.

                    Please

Don't put me in the category of people that doesn't understand how this stuff works. OF COURSE the league MVP can come from a team that didn't win the league....Just not in this case.

When your kid is a senior if she is still that good, it will be her turn. If the player you are taLKING ABOUT HAS HAD SEVERAL GOOD SEASONS AND NOT JUST 1 GOOD GAME SHE WILL COME INTO HER OWN.

I agree...This should be the best kids and as far as the "senior" politics/theory, none were chosen for EMASS 1st or 2nd team in our conference.

They're not in EMass. They're in central Mass. You also won't see them on the Globe or herald all Scholastics anymore than yu'd see one of the EMass players on the Worcester All Stars.

                                All Stars

The selection process for the Eastern Mass All Stars is as political as any other process. I heard of a boy this year who received 2 coaches votes for MVP for his League coming in second in the MVP vote, but didn't make Eastern Mass because the League coaches then had a seperate vote for Eastern Mass and the League decided to only chose seniors. By the way the junior player has been a 2 time League All Star and his team has come in 2nd place each of the last three years. The Coach of the player was told he would have to wait his turn for the honor next year as a senior. How ridiculous is that. 3 Other players who did not receive an MVP vote get picked for Eastern Mass but the Junior doesn't. The politics depends upon the League, but this one is silly. The best players should be rewarded regardless of class. In this one particular League they did a disservice.
