Are the All State and All New England selections done by quota? Each section gets to put up a certain number who then get automatically selected???

Central mass high school coachs have been notified already who is central mass all star , all state and all new England. Not sure about east and west. I know derek mccaffrey of Groton-Dunstable HS for the boys is one of the three.

NSCAA All region teams ,including all new England boys and girls, have been selected already. Only NSCAA all Americans need to be picked. Central mass had 3 boys and three girl all new England selections.

Older Ronan from Millbury was an all NE selection.

Maybe HS Harry can help with this. A couple of years ago I heard that the different areas of the state alternate years with their All American picks. If I remember correctly this year is Central MA turn. Does this mean that 1 of the 3 all NE picks on the boys and girls side will be an All-American?

George Lamptey of Worcester North HS and Patrick Gaumond of Wachusett Regional HS are the 2 other boys for All New England. Not sure which clubs they play for or Derek either.

Lamptey plays for Blazers. Gaumond plays for FC United. Lamptey and Gaumond were teammates for 4 years on club.

I went to that game. and he was shut down pretty easily. one game tells alot. I remember a pick a few years ago for all NE. The kid was not even the top 5 players players on his team. Coaches have influence...an old boys network..
