    Another brutal U11 weekend

Tomorrow I will be heading off for another day of some of the worst U11 soccer known to man. The so-called top clubs are terrible. The girls have no clue how to play. I dont want to go but I have to. My daughter is one of the best players around and she stinks if I am being honest///uuugghhh

NEFC or Ex Scorpions girls? Ahhhhhh perspective. I'm an NEFC parent as well but the more you read these threads, the more you sort of have to agree with many of the Scopions sect. I'm not sure what was going down over there with the two coaches who left but these teams were Scorpion teams a couple of months ago and now they just wear differnet colored uniforms.

if you belong to NEFC, heres the philosphy of SOME of the coaches:

have your defense just boot the ball up to their one really fast forward and have her chase it down and beat the opponents defense. laughable. absolutely no ball possession soccer.

This is a joke, right? Your daughter's one of the best players around but she stinks? And she's 10? You're dreading going to U11 games, because why? Because they won't look like the U17 Brazil squad. This is one of the most ridiculous posts I've ever seen, and people actually responded like it was serious. You should be enjoying U11 soccer, and if you really have a daughter, you should stay as far away from her as possible.

Big problem is trying to teach players this age to play a certain way and then they go play for their town teams who coaches allow and sometimes encourage them to play another way.

I don't think that's a big problem in the scheme of things. Only problem is overzealous parents as reflected in this post.

Looking at the scores in GU11 Blue, I'm starting to get a sense of why this poster might be a little upset. The scores are completely whacked. Maybe instead of random placement, teams might be better served if they were allowed to request the level they feel their team belongs - highly competitive, moderately competitive or developmental.
