    Oh god...do i hate h.s. Soccer!!!

I just read about the Stars U17 standout getting a broken leg and it made me cringe. This season alone I have witnessed at least a dozen wreckless challenges that could ruin a players soccer season/seasons.

I despise the lack of discipline the referees allow at this level. Challenges from behind often go uncalled and are seldom carded. Elbows and punches in the back are far too common as is the art of flying in late to a tackle with cleats up.

The 2 ref system is a joke, but what is worse is the apathy on display when refs fail to make calls that protect players.

      ISL uses a 3-man system.

Too funny. Soo the hysterical poster clearly was not at the game.

That said the two man system employed in hs is dreadful.

I have seen no yellow cards in 5 years of HS soccer. Probably about 500 fouls but no cards ever. Maybe a couple warnings but never a card. Last year 1 team had 15-20 whistles against them in a game. Nothing but free kicks. Why not just give a free kick and take someone down in the cold and wind when the dead ball has no shot of going in from 30 yards out. Cards would have solved the problem.
