Could the Scorpions empire be crumbling??

The so called big name that is the Scorpions could be no more after I saw another club so such high prospects that club is I believe called soccer domain? they beat my daughters u'13 team so we decided to stay and we watched their u'12 boys team totally tear apart the scorpions boys team I think it finished 4 or 5 nothing and could have been even more had it not been for the goalie of the scorps.
So could this new team really become one of the great clubs in youth soccer?

Fuller Hamlets used to be the dominant team now they are more of an afterthought, wont be long until Scorps follows suit

Lets see: Based on MAPLE site, your daughter plays for the win less Abbey Villa team in the 3rd division. Your daughters team lost 6-1. According to your concocted story, you then made the decision to hang around in the rain to watch the entire U12 boys game which finished 4-0. You wanted to watch the other club, according to you. After that you determined that the Scorpions empire is crumbling and that Soccer Domain may be a great club? First, the Scorpions have never had a strong boys program. And secondly, are you out of your mind? These fly by night clubs pop up all the time preying on parents hopes that they will take down "empires." They never survive and you are a dope for for starting this thread. Enjoy your time with Soccer Domain.

"I've just become another slightly cynical parent, a soccer consumer if you will who now thinks "caveat emptor" when looking at soccer clubs. Soccer clubs should be measured in dog years... 1yr equals seven, gosh that makes CFC old..."

I'm with you, FB. Over the years, I have come to realize that, as a club soccer consumer, you need to be observant and nimble. Things can change very quickly -- club/team mergers and dissolutions, coach/player departures/defections, etc. Best not to bash other clubs, coaches, parents, players, etc., or get too emotionally invested in your kid's club, because you never know who your kid will be playing with next year.
Ran across this on the SoccerHead forum in a thread about the apparent split of Tony DiCicco's Soccer Plus club from the FSA indoor facility down in Connecticut. Different situation but I think the sentiments expressed are spot on.

Soccer Domain will not be knocking down 'empires' but simply plans on offering those in Western Mass and Berkshire County a place to play outside of the travel leagues. They will win some an dlose some as all teams do. It is development based and although may be new in MA is a 20 year long organization in NJ, responsible for coaching top teams (Montclair Arirticats, Montclair Thunderbolts, Montclair Colchesters etc etc).

We stayed around to watch the game because it had potential to be a great game as the scorpions are a big name club so we wanted to stay around and enjoy a game of soccer (which the last time I checked was not a crime) also a youth player can learn so much watching any live games, I have no connection at all with soccer domain, my daughters team may not be the best but after the response from scorpions parents I wish the soccer domain club all the best for the season ahead.

You must have had a great teacher for first class at High School today! They've managed to correct your spelling and grammar in the couple of hours between your posts!

BTW -- I can't believe that someone stayed around in Pittsfield for an extra couple of hours

Hmmmm...you're saying that you hung around for an extra 2 hours in the rain so that your u13 daughter could watch a u12 boys game between two at-best mediocre teams? Gimme a break. Just start your next post by saying its an advertisement for Soccer Domain and save us the time.

SD has a decent boys u12 club - couple kids that can play. Would like to see that game played in decent weather, on a field that does not have a 6% grade, and the Scorps not taking a 3hr ride to get to wherever that place was. 2nd half was just like the field, slanted toward the Scorps.
