Is it Surprising? Weston are undoubtedly inproved this season and are one of the favourites for the D3 North. They have beaten some other good teams in the DCL.
Potentially you could have that a D1 tournament team should be beating a D3 team but this is a very simplistic way to look at it.

C-C is not just a "D1 tournament team". They are one of the top seeds.

Well after going 10-0-2, they lose to AB, their last 4 games were 1-1-2. Doesn't sound like a high note to me.

They only lost to AB 1-0 and although AB had some decent chances the score was still only 1-0.
CC last 4 games were 2 win and 2 ties. They tied with Bedford who from all accounts, put players behind the ball and defended well.
Westons improvements this season have been well documented on here and they are very tactically organised. I heard that is was a good game with chances at either end. This is a good result for both teams after a good game.

Im not saying CC will go and win anything this season and i dont think they are even among the favourites for the D1 North but they the DCL is a tough league and they have had some very good results. They will certaintly be a potential bananna skin for other teams tournament time.

How much depth does C-C have? Virtaully all of their scoring comes from one superstar.

I wouldn'y count C-C out. They have the two most important components for success in HS soccer: a super GK and a super scorer.
