Outdoor fields at Forekicks II in Marlborough were rushed and there are issues with the turf that will have to be addressed. Merger was a good idea overall, but happened so quickly that while a few good 'A' teams were formed, there are lots of loyal long term Eagle and Puma kids who had spent years with their clubs who got dropped to mediocre B teams...or left the club all together...that I think defections will go up this spring or before. Would not be surprised if the number of NEFC teams for 2010/2011 is less than 'Eagles plus Puma' pre-merger, even with the new locations. Then, the BB and PM saga ..then the rushed and seemingly amateur hour attempt to stage yet another tournament in March. All of this happened within a 4 month window...the concept here for another scale state club to compete with Stars, MPS, Scorpions is a good one, but these guys should slow down and get each piece right here...
What does the Forekicks II prjoect and issues have to do with NEFC. NEFC does not own or run Forekicks. A relationship exists, but other clubs also have a business relationship there.

Actually it has a lot to do with it. the club director and the owner of Forekicks I and II are one and the same. Good move on their part to merge with Puma because the more teams means more hours those teams can rent in the facilities.

You are correct, however, the prior poster was weaving an issue with field issues and the club. Why not weave an issue with about the field and another club that uses the place? The merger does bring more hours from 1 club, but Puma was using the place prior to the merger anyway.

Their idea is if they build this super mega club that more kids will come which will mean more hours filled at their facilities.
