Unfortunately for all of us, he has lots of free time since he got fired.
There are many people beside Fred that has something against NEFC. They are a bunch of liars from Brian right down the line.

This is true. I don't think you can just say it is a FM thing. Where did he get canned from?

Will the Scorpian Bowl or NEFC tournament be more successful?

Depends on what you call more successful. Don't know how the boys side will play out, but I'd bet the Scorpians will have higher ranked teams competing. NEFC will have a successful tournament but likely won't draw teams of the same rank. Both make money and I wouldn't be overly surprised if both clubs have some team (s) represent at the other's tournaments.

Stars had a good tournament - well run and I'm sure people would have considered it a success. Delta did fine and I'm pretty sure Banditts did fine. Delta was at Lancaster - same as Stars and I don't think anyone pictures those clubs in a fight to the death.

Lots of teams doing Spring tournaments so there is money to be made by Scorps, NEFC, MPS.......

The one who makes out on this is Lancaster.

              I Luv Lancaster

Don't even go there. Lancaster is an amazing facility and we're darn lucky to have it. It is the best facility in region 1 and one of the best in nation. Other than parking, it is an immaculate facility.

Yeah but look at it. They will have tournaments all throughout March. With the Scorpian Bowl all throughout the state and NEFC tournament throughout Central Mass, it is golden.

I'm sure you have no clue what the costs are to operate and maintain that facility. MYSA is probably lucky if they are breaking even. We're lucky that we have that facility.

NEFC will not need Lancaster for their tournament.

Could probably save some money on kids standing around in the parking lot and detail police keeping people from dropping off their kids at tournaments. If there is no place to park in the parking lot, most people can figure out that they need to park somewhere else. It is a great place to play soccer, but we all pay for that place and running it.

One thing they have to be careful of is getting a reputation of poaching players from other clubs at their locations.
NEFC is in over their heads...moving way too quickly and not doing anything right yet. Outdoor fields at Forekicks II in Marlborough were rushed and there are issues with the turf that will have to be addressed. Merger was a good idea overall, but happened so quickly that while a few good 'A' teams were formed, there are lots of loyal long term Eagle and Puma kids who had spent years with their clubs who got dropped to mediocre B teams...or left the club all together...that I think defections will go up this spring or before. Would not be surprised if the number of NEFC teams for 2010/2011 is less than 'Eagles plus Puma' pre-merger, even with the new locations. Then, the BB and PM saga ..then the rushed and seemingly amateur hour attempt to stage yet another tournament in March. All of this happened within a 4 month window...the concept here for another scale state club to compete with Stars, MPS, Scorpions is a good one, but these guys should slow down and get each piece right here...
