To answer the question only the 2 keepers and Diego Fagundez from Bolts U14 team which won both the State Cup and Region 1 last year also did ODP.

        Here's a good question--ODP Regional boys Pool 1993

ODP Regional Pools have been announced--Mass Boys 1993's only have 2 players selected to 1993 Regional Pool--yet the 1993 team has gone to the Region 1 ODP Tournament Finals two years in a row. This past year they soundly beat NJ in semi's, yet NJ has 9 players in the pool to Mass' 2 players. This year they lost in Final in PK's to PA West and Mass controlled the game, yet PA West has 6 players in the pool to Mass' 2 players. How come Mass doesn't have the political pull to get more players in the pool?

Why should we allow politics to be a part of this?

I think, unfortuantely, this is where Mass does ODP right. Let the play speak for itself.

Prior to U14 bolts he was an accomplished FC United player -

I think they mean why doesn't the results reflect the number of players chosen, you would think the teams that do better would have appeared better on the field and thus been selected for the regional team?

You are right--politics shouldn't be involved--all that should matter is the play. But, given the head to head game results it sure does look like the other states lobby much harder behind the scenes for their players.

I heard even before SC that Diego was going with the Revs DAP. The reason so few Bolts are on the ODP list is because virtually all of the Bolts '95 BU14s A team (won SC & R1) joined the Bolts DAP program last spring, as did most of their '95 BU14 B team. So all the best Bolts players opted for DAP over ODP.

So the Bolts with only 3 players one of which was their 2nd goalie were able to defeat a MPS team which by all accounts was loaded with Mass ODP and regional ODP players as well as one National player. Iguess this points to the strength of the Bolts program.I would add one caveat though the seeming disinterest in success put forth by the bolts in region 1 and the regional tournament may come back to haunt them lots of clubs will try to entice these younger kids away especially at the U/11 to U/13 age levels.

It was the same EXACT Bolts team that day, no one left. Another in a long line of false statements, funny that more and more of the false statements are coming from the pro Bolts folks. Interesting.......

Wow, the wind sure changes fast around here, one day MPS sucks the next day they are "loaded with Mass ODP and regional ODP players as well as one national player". And we are only talking about one team. People on here have no credibility.
