Delco has been balling out since last spring, but highly overrated in the rankings. How are they higher ranked than BSC a final 4 team from the summer? Strange.... and then theres MFA who was in the top 3 last year but is the most likely to not qualify this year of the 3. My bet is 1. BSC, 2. PF 3. PDA Blue. All 5 of these teams mentioned are also all currently ranked in top 30 . Thats half of the teams in the conference. Pretty impressive pound for pound strongest conference outide of SW conference teams in my mind. Stil remarkably true - NA > MA

This might explain BSC's success this summer but only slight movement up the rankings, as opposed to PDA Blue and Delco who are in currently Top 15 ahead of MFA and BSC and didnt even qualify for playoffs last season. Thos non-playoff teams added a lot of points in the rankings by winnning meaningless spring and summer tournaments while MFA did poorly in the playoffs and fell down the rankings, and BSC did well in the playoffs but are now only #19. The rankings app is pretty accurate but this flaw is pretty glaring becuase its welll established ECNL girls are the top teams, and the league games and playoffs at minimum should have more weight in these rankings are currently accounting for.
Don’t complain if your Coach doesn’t coach to win at non-league events or if your team has a shallow bench. That other Club you compete against may play to win regardless of scenario or they do have a deep bench.
IMO, the only flaw is that blowouts are weighted too heavily. When you exceed the predicted goal differential, either win or loss, it can seriously affect a teams ranking, especially if it is three games or more.
You want your 10s to be tops? Games over the past year is what are used in those rankings. Just go out and perform to move up. Don’t worry about the opponent or the league they are from.

Disagree. The system is already weighted. Mark’s App is based on goal differential regardless of league. The BSC 10s had an awful showing at a tournament right before ECNL playoffs. The top teams win regardless of Playoffs or local tournaments. Looking at ECNL playoffs, Bethesda 10s had BY FAR the easiest path. In fact it looks like every game was predicted correctly by the APP. Just because you had an easy road doesn’t entitle you to be ranked higher.

How did Bethesda have an awful showing at the Memorial Day tournament before playoffs? Making it to the finals in a 2009 bracket is a disaster? How?

Tying and losing to FC Virginia. Tying SCS while favored to win by 2 goals. Only beating Metro United 09 by one goal. If you want to be top 5, you have to perform regardless. Nobody is entitled just because they are in the top league or perform during playoffs and not at other times. YEAR ROUND!

Bro this sounds like the angry SD Soccer dad from last season. Who else would be obsessed with BSC's results in a low level tournament? Didn't he start all of these 2010G threads?
