US Soccer/Sally Yates excerpt- “While the scope of our investigation was limited to allegations of misconduct in the League, some of the coaches whose conduct we examined had significant connections to youth soccer, and, in Dames’s case, were also reported to have been abusive as youth coaches. During the course of our investigation, we confronted multiple historical reports of verbal and sexual abuse of youth soccer players. Players also told us that their experiences of verbal abuse and blurred relationships with coaches in youth soccer impacted their ability to discern what was out of bounds in the NWSL.”
And now we have warnings before movies claiming the movie was made during a different time and some may find the material offensive. Same generation. Ugh. Cancel culture at its best here.
This post has been years in the making. Let’s have at it.
Which Maryland based youth coaches should be very nervous right now?
None. People are growing tired of this narrative. It’s nothing but victim/complainers attitude. It’s a case of those few that scream the loudest get the most attention while everyone else is annoyed. Same with the Drag shows. Ugh.
This attitude is EXACTLY why this problem persists.
